The latest news is that sports betting in Florida is technically legal again, as the US Supreme Court and, later, the Florida Supreme Court denied WFA's request to stay with the old ruling that shut down Hard Rock Bet.
So, to that end, the Seminoles (which operate Hard Rock Bet in Florida) re-launched Hard Rock Bet in the state for mobile sports betting and also launched sports betting, craps, and roulette at their brick-and-mortar locations in FL in early December 2023!
There are some cases still pending, as WFA has filed against Gov. Ron DeSantis in the Florida Supreme Court and submitted an argument that digital wagering should be covered by Florida State Amendment 3, and thus be voted on rather than enacted by the Seminoles.
We'll see how the Florida Supreme Court responds.
More recently, WFA has filed to/requested that the Supreme Court of the U.S. hear its case against the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI).
All that said, sports betting is legal for now in Florida, and the Seminoles are live!

CAN I BET IN FLORIDA?
By summer 2021, officials from the federally-recognized Seminole Tribe and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had signed an agreement to amend their state's compact and allow the tribe to conduct online sports betting in the Sunshine State. Those changes were finally approved by the federal government by fall 2021, and it looked like everything was smooth sailing for the program to go live in October, but that didn't happen as expected.
There are laws on the books that enable the Seminole Tribe to provide online sports betting statewide, but a judge ruled that the sportsbook could no longer operate.
