UPDATE 10:15 A.M. ET SUNDAY: BetMGM has Tampa Bay -2.5 (-115) less than three hours before kickoff, after bouncing between -2.5 and -3 during the week. Chicago is netting 55% of spread bets/62% of spread money.

The total is at 40.5 from a 43.5 opener, with 54% of tickets/71% of cash on the Under.

UPDATE 6 P.M ET FRIDAY: The Bucs toggled between -2.5 and -3, at various juice, throughout this week at BetMGM. Tampa is now -2.5 (-120), with spread tickets and money both running 2/1 on Chicago.

The total dropped from 43.5 to 40.5, hitting that low point Thursday afternoon. Tickets and money are just shy of 2/1 on the Under.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Tampa Bay (1-0 SU and ATS) opened the non-Tom Brady era with perhaps a surprising road win. The Bucs, 4-point underdogs, beat Minnesota 20-17.

Meanwhile, Chicago (0-1 SU and ATS) was favored against Green Bay for the first time in several years, but fell far short of success. The Bears tumbled 38-20 laying 1.5 points at home.

Bettors hopped on The SuperBook's Bucs -1.5 opener, pushing this number to Tampa -3 tonight.

Bears vs Buccaneers Pick, Prediction

Action Network NFL betting expert Brandon Anderson offers this prediction:

The Bears ranked 30th or worse in passing offense, run defense, and passing defense DVOA last year. The one thing they were good at was running the football (12th).

The Bucs run defense, led by Vita Vea, has long been a staple strength of the team, and Tampa Bay's defense is the best unit on the field.

Play the matchup. The stout Bucs run defense negates Chicago's biggest strength, and if the Bears pass defense got shredded by Green Bay's backup receivers, what will Mike Evans and Chris Godwin do?

The Bucs aren't as good as they looked Week 1, but they're still better than the Bears. This wasn't playable at -3, but below the key number, just trust the better squad.
