NFL Odds Week 3: Eagles vs Buccaneers Lines, Spreads, Betting Trends

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline

The NFL Week 3 odds are at the forefront, with the regular season in full throttle, offering up a heavyweight showdown between the Eagles and Buccaneers scheduled for Monday, September 25. The excitement gets underway at 7:15 p.m. ET, broadcasting live from Tampa's Raymond James Stadium exclusively on ABC.

Here's everything you need to know about the NFL odds for Week 3 Eagles vs. Buccaneers: the opening lines, spreads, betting trends and more. Check back regularly for updates.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Odds

  • Opening point spread: Eagles -6.5
  • Opening moneyline: Eagles -265/Buccaneers +215
  • Opening total: Over/Under 46 points scored
  • Time: 7:15 p.m. ET Monday (ABC)

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: In another line that's on the move in the NFL odds Week 3 market, Philadelphia is down to -5 at TwinSpires. The Eagles opened -6.5 and spent time at -5.5.

Philly is getting 60% of tickets, while 58% of money is on Tampa Bay.

"Sharp play on Bucs +6.5. We've seen sharp play on all three Eagles opponents this season," Lucas said.

The total rose from 45 to 46, with tickets and money in the 2/1 range on the Over.

UPDATE 11:30 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Defending NFC champion Philadelphia is 2-0 SU and ATS, though it was challenged in both matchups. In the Week 2 Thursday night game, the Eagles blew most of a 27-7 third-quarter lead.

But Jalen Hurts and Co. hung on for a 34-28 victory, pushing as 6-point favorites.

Perhaps surprisingly, Tampa Bay is 2-0 SU and ATS in the post-Tom Brady era. In Week 2, the Bucs beat the Bears 27-17 as 2.5-point home favorites.

"This is another game where I think we'll be rooting for the 'dog to win outright, just based off of teasers and moneyline parlays," Degnon said. "Some smaller bets on the Eagles -6.5 at open, but not enough to bump us up to 7. We have taken some Under money and are down to 44.5 on the total."

That's a 1.5-point move early on this total in the NFL odds Week 3 market.

Eagles vs Buccaneers Pick, Prediction

Action Network NFL betting expert Brandon Anderson offers this prediction:

This probably wasn't supposed to end up as the marquee Monday Night Football game of the two, but here we are with a pair of undefeated teams vying for a spot atop the NFC, and sharp money has come in all week on the Bucs, pushing the line down.

The Eagles and Bucs are the two luckiest teams in football, according to our Luck Rankings.

Monday night road favorites of three to seven points — like the Eagles — are 46-33 ATS (58%) over the past two decades.

This is a Luck Rankings pick. Both the Eagles and Bucs have been lucky to score as much as they have so far. Neither offense has been great, and Monday night games continue to be great under plays. Primetime unders have hit at a 60% clip over the past four years and are off to a 5-2 start this season (71%), and home underdog unders are 61% the past two seasons.

The Eagles clearly haven't hit their Super Bowl stride yet. They're making it work, but it might be a bit ugly until they figure a few things out.

Pick: Under 46 (-110)

The One Stat to Know About Eagles vs Buccaneers

Action Network NFL researcher Evan Abrams offers his top betting stat:

Teams are 12-6 ATS after playing the Bears since the start of last season, third-best ATS record in the NFL during that span.
