Week 4 of the NFL regular season concludes with a Monday Night Football clash between the Seahawks and Giants, which sees Seattle as a short road favorite, according to the betting odds. Coverage begins from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Monday, October 2 at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Seattle Seahawks vs New York Giants Odds

• Opening point spread: Seahawks -1.5
• Opening moneyline: Giants -120/Seahawks even
• Opening total: Over/Under 45 points scored
• Time: 8:15 p.m. ET Monday (ABC)

UPDATE 1 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This line jumped the fence early at BetMGM, from Seattle -1.5 to New York -1 at lunchtime Monday. The Giants have spent time at -1.5 this week and are currently back at -1.

Seattle is taking 75% of early spread bets, while 54% of early spread money is on New York.

The total opened at 45 and stretched to 47.5 by Wednesday evening, with no movement since. That said, the Under is seeing 62% of tickets/58% of money.

UPDATE 10 P.M. ET SUNDAY: New York has already played in two prime-time games, getting drubbed in both meetings. The Giants (1-2 SU/0-3 ATS) get another shot in the Monday nighter on the NFL Week 4 odds board.

In Week 3, New York – minus running back Saquon Barkley, among others – was a 10.5-point 'dog at San Francisco. The Giants lost 30-12 in the Thursday night game. So on the bright side, the G-Men have extra days to rest up and perhaps get Barkley back in the mix.

Meanwhile, Seattle (2-1 SU and ATS) pulled away from Carolina in the fourth quarter, winning 37-27 as 4.5-point home chalk.

"The Seahawks struggled today before eventually covering against Carolina," Michaelson said. "Without Barkley, the Giants' offense looks like it will struggle. And for a third prime-time game in four weeks, we will likely need the Giants as a 'dog. Maybe they'll come through for us this time."

Seahawks vs Giants Pick, Prediction

Action Network NFL betting expert Brandon Anderson offers this prediction:

There's a lot of bad in this game, but Seattle's offense is the one definite good. The Seahawks have been one of the most effective rushing teams in the league, and Geno Smith has picked up where he left off after winning Comeback Player of the Year. Seattle ranks in the top quarter of the league both running and passing by DVOA, and this Giants defense has been miserable.

Wink Martindale loves to blitz all night and will bring the heat, and Smith struggles against pressure and is missing his tackles. But if he can get the ball out quickly, he and that WR trio can carve this secondary up. It might be time to trust this Seattle offense.

I like Seattle here. They're just the better team, and this offense looks worth believing in — but it's just a lean for now for two reasons.

First, I need to wait to see more injury news. I might also like to wait and play Seattle live. New York is at home on Monday night effectively playing for its season after this brutal start, one miracle second half comeback over Arizona away from an 0-3 start. I have to believe the Giants at least come out and make a push, so I may wait to play live and hope for a better number or sit out Monday night on the road.
