Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is expected to start for Kansas City at Tennessee in Sunday’s Week 10 NFL action and Nevada bettors are lining up to bet one of the best offenses in the league.

Station Casinos opened the Chiefs as 4.5-point favorites on Wednesday and it’s bet moved to a Las Vegas-high of -6.5 with a total set at 49 as of Friday evening.

The Chiefs went 1-1 with back-up QB Matt Moore getting a big home win against the Vikings last week. Both his starts went 'over' the total thanks to a suspect Chiefs defense that allows 22.7 points per game. The Chiefs lead the way among several popular public teams this week.

Circa sportsbook director Matt Metcalf hasn’t seen a lot of respected money lay down some large wagers through Friday, but his big-ticket counts with the most popular public wagers have been on the Chiefs, Rams, Bills, and Seahawks.

Circa opened the Rams -3.5 at Pittsburgh and they were bumped up to -4 on Friday. The betting masses also moved the Browns from 2.5-point home favorites against the Bills to -3 and then back to -2.5 on Thursday. As of Friday, Cleveland is sitting -3 at most books.

The Seahawks are getting +6.5 at undefeated San Francisco on Monday night.

Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook VP Jay Kornegay says his top 'sharp' plays this week have been on the Browns, 49ers, and Cardinals while the top public plays have been on the Ravens, Rams, and Packers.

The winless Bengals have covered their last four against the Ravens, but after their big win Sunday night against the Patriots, bettors love them laying 10.5 on the road.

Caesars Palace sportsbook director Jeff Davis says his top public plays have been on the Chiefs, Ravens, and Saints and says his top sharp plays have been on the same game with two groups on opposite sides on the Buccaneers and Cardinals.

CG Technology’s Tony DiTammaso has seen the same two groups play opposite sides with him as well.

“We have three games like that this week,” DiTammaso said. “They’re on opposite sides of the Browns and Bills and also the Buccaneers and Cardinals. And they also took +5 with the Panthers and laid -4.5 with the Packers.”

CG books have the Packers now at -5.5 while Circa is a Nevada low at -4.5.

DiTammaso said their worst public parlay combination of the week is the Chiefs, Ravens, and Packers.

The public story is the same at Station Casinos with the Ravens, Packers, and Saints being their top parlay plays. Sports book director Jason McCormick said their top wise guy plays have been on the Browns, Steelers, and Panthers.

Roberts is a former Las Vegas sports book director that has been covering the sports betting industry for the last 15 years.
