Books adjust to Brady, Buccaneers

After a 20-year run with the New England Patriots, quarterback Tom Brady announced that he is leaving the only NFL team that he has ever known.

In a two-part message on social media platforms, Brady wrote “LOVE YOU PATS NATION.”



Prior to his announcement, oddsmakers at listed New England as the betting favorite to retain his services for Week 1 of the NFL Season.

Quickly after the announcement was posted, speculation began and the oddsmakers at FanDuel quickly adjusted their numbers on Brady. According to the US online legal sportsbook, it was a two-horse race between Tampa Bay (-220) and Indianapolis (+160).



Later in the afternoon, Fox Sports national television and radio host Colin Cowherd stated that he heard from a reliable source that Tom Brady will sign with Tampa Bay on Thursday morning.



More reports on Tom Brady moving to Tampa Bay were confirmed on Tuesday evening.

The odds on the Buccaneers to win the NFC Championship went from 20/1 to 13/2 (Bet $100 to win $650) at the SuperBook.

While the numbers on Tampa Bay were adjusted, the SuperBook also moved New England.
