NFL Week 5 Parlays, Props & Teasers

ATS Parlay

  • Two-Team Parlay: Tennessee Titans -5 (-110) & Detroit Lions +10 (-110)
  • Odds-Payout: +264

For my first parlay, I’ll start with an AFC South matchup between the Titans and Jaguars – as former first- overall pick Trevor Lawrence will enter Week 5 still be hoping to secure Jacksonville’s first victory of the new season.

I’ll lay the points with Tennessee here, as the Jaguars flashed significant signs of improvement during their narrow loss to Cincinnati last week – but Derrick Henry and the Titans’ rushing attack will likely be far too much for Jacksonville’s 27 th ranked defense to handle this Sunday (28.8 PPG, 6.4 YPP).

For my second play, I’ll head over to an NFC North matchup between Detroit and Minnesota – as Kirk Cousins and the Vikings will be looking for their second victory of the new season as they play host to Jared Goff and the winless Lions on Sunday afternoon.

I’ll take the points with the Lions here, as Baltimore and Green Bay have been the only teams to stomp Detroit by ten points or more this year – and in my opinion, Minnesota doesn’t entirely fall in line with those other squads’ high level of pedigree.

Money-Line Parlay

  • Two-Team Parlay: Los Angeles Chargers (-125) & Dallas Cowboys (-305)
  • Odds-Payout: +139

To kick off my second parlay, I’ll dive into a mid-afternoon matchup between the Browns and Chargers – as both teams will be looking to nab their fourth win of the new season following a pair of solid 3-1 starts.

I’ll take the Chargers money line here, as the Browns’ offense has averaged just 20 points across their latest two matchups against the Vikings and Bears – and that level of production typically doesn’t cut it against high-powered offenses like L. A.’s.

For my final play, I’ll wrap things up with the NFC East – as Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys will be hoping to secure a fourth consecutive victory as they play host to Daniel Jones and the New York Giants this Sunday afternoon.

I’ll take Dallas money line here, as the Cowboys’ only loss came by way of a walk-off field goal in Week 1 against the Buccaneers – and I doubt they’ll have trouble handling business at home against the 1-3 Giants this weekend.

Player Props

  • Derrick Henry (RB, Tennessee) - 2 Total Touchdowns (+240)
  • Jared Goff (QB, Detroit) - Over 254.5 Passing Yards (-115)

For my first player prop, I’ll go back to Sunday afternoon’s matchup between Tennessee and Jacksonville, as the Titans head into their Week 5 matchup generously favored over Urban Meyer’s winless Jaguars.

I’ll roll the dice on Henry punching in a pair of touchdowns here, as the All-Pro running-back has scored four touchdowns on 150.7 rushing yards per game across the Titans’ latest three affairs – and he’ll likely have another abundance of red-zone touches this week as Tennessee visits Jacksonville’s bottom-ranked defensive unit (28.8 PPG, 6.4 YPP).

For my second player prop, I’ll return to Sunday afternoon’s NFC North matchup between the Lions and Vikings, as both teams will be hoping to get back on track after posting a pair of incredibly underwhelming starts to the new year.

I’ll take Goff’s passing yards over here, as aside from the Lions oddly low-scoring bout with Baltimore (L, 19-17), Goff has averaged 294.3 passing yards while playing catch-up across his other three matchups since landing in Detroit – and I expect him to find similar success this week against a Vikings’ defense ranked 22nd in completion percentage and 28 th in yards allowed per pass attempt (68 % CMP, 7.9 YPP).
