Total Talk – Week 10

We're on to Week 10 of the NFL regular season, and when we hit double digits, it just seems like the season is winding down and we're getting closer to the holidays. But the truth of the matter is that we're exactly at the halfway point, so there is a lot of football left to be played.

The big injuries and/or news out of the Week 9 games come from Charlotte and Cleveland. The Carolina Panthers lost QB Sam Darnold due to a fractured scapula suffered in the team's loss against the New England Patriots. Panthers fans might not be terrible broken up about the news after a pick-six and several miscues, as the shine has rubbed off of Darnold significantly after the team's hot start. But total bettors certainly want to take notice, as QB P.J. Walker will be under center for the start this weekend.

In Cleveland, isn't always something this season? A couple of weeks ago the Browns had several starters sidelined for their Thursday game against the Denver Broncos. Then there was the Odell Beckham Jr. saga, resulting in his release. Now, the Browns are dealing with a bit of a COVID-19 outbreak in the locker room, and RB Nick Chubb is one of the positive tests. The good news is that he is vaccinated, and a couple of positive tests could get him in there for this weekend's game at the New England Patriots. However, it is a situation to watch closely, as the Browns had several others backs also on the list. In fact, the only healthy back is RB D'Ernest Johnson.
