Where Will Aaron Rodgers Play in 2022

One of the biggest questions in the NFL this offseason revolves around the future of Aaron Rodgers. AR12 has spent his entire 17-year career with the Green Bay Packers, but Rodgers and the team restructured his contract last summer to make him a free agent in March. Fans of over a dozen NFL teams are hoping that they can sign the four-time NFL MVP, but the oddsmakers believe that Rodgers will stay in Green Bay for at least one more year.

Aaron Rodgers Next Team Odds at DraftKings

Green Bay Packers -280

Many talking heads made the parallel between Rodgers and Brett Favre when Rodgers started talking like he wanted out of Green Bay, but he seems likely to stay with the Packers for one more year. The Packers brought back Tom Clements to be their quarterbacks coach, and he spent 11 years coaching Rodgers and the Packers from 2006 to 2016. The team has tried to appease Rodgers over the last year by bringing back Randall Cobb and will reportedly look to add more help at receiver, and that makes a return probable if you read the tea leaves.

Denver Broncos +350

The Denver Broncos can’t be counted out just yet though. John Elway is desperate to land a franchise quarterback, and he pulled out all the stops for Peyton Manning 10 years ago. Denver has had 11 different starting quarterbacks since Manning called it quits after the Broncos won Super Bowl 50, and they are likely to offer Green Bay a very generous package in order to acquire Rodgers.

San Francisco 49ers +800

This reunion would make sense in terms of tying up loose ends, as the San Francisco 49ers famously took Alex Smith instead of Aaron Rodgers with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. Rodgers went to the University of California and told the Niners they would regret not drafting him, and this franchise has had a hard time finding a franchise quarterback since that point. However, the 49ers traded up to take Trey Lance in last year’s draft, and Rodgers might not like Kyle Shanahan’s run-heavy offense.

Pittsburgh Steelers +1200

While Pittsburgh is in need of a quarterback, its hopes of landing Aaron Rodgers are minute. Rodgers has hinted that he wants to be in a warm-weather city on the West Coast, and Pittsburgh is neither of those things. The Steelers could win the Super Bowl with Rodgers, but he seems unlikely to want to go to the Steel City.

Miami Dolphins +2500

On the other hand, Miami is an intriguing destination for Rodgers. The Dolphins are only a quarterback away from being a legitimate contender in the AFC, and superstars like LeBron James and Tom Brady have loved their time in the Sunshine State. Miami has a ton of cap space and the picks needed to potentially acquire Rodgers, so its worth a long look at 25-1.
