GREEN BAY PACKERS vs. MINNESOTA VIKINGS BETTING PREDICTION

The Packers open the season on the road for the fourth consecutive season. Green Bay met Minnesota in the regular-season opener Sept. 13, 2020, and the Packers came away with a 43-34 win as a 1-point underdog as the OVER easily cashed.

Green Bay has a bit of a different look on offense, as WRs Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are both playing football for teams in the AFC West now. WRs Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard are two receivers who have built a nice rapport with QB Aaron Rodgers over the years, and the team added journeyman veteran WR Sammy Watkins, as well as rookie WR Romeo Doubs to the receivers room.

The Vikings have a lot of the same faces back on offense, as QB Kirk Cousins is back to lead the charge, and RB Dalvin Cook is healthy, while WRs Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen are studs. The team also added WR Jalen Reagor from the Philadelphia Eagles by way of a trade, hoping the former first-round pick turns over a new leaf with a blank slate in the Twin Cities.

The home team won both meetings last season, with the Vikings outlasting the Packers 34-31 on Nov. 21 in this venue, and Green Bay blasting Minnesota 37-10 at Lambeau Field. The OVER has cashed in four consecutive meetings.

GREEN BAY PACKERS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Packers have Rodgers back under center, and he appears to be rather content and did not make any waves like the preseason offseason where it appeared he could force his way out of town. He is happy with the organization, and a happy quarterback is always good for a team.

Bettors of the Packers were happy last season, as Green Bay is 5-2 ATS in the past seven divisional matchups, while going 9-3 ATS in the past 12 against NFC teams overall. The Pack is also 5-1 ATS in the past six games played in the month of September, while going an impressive 5-2 ATS in the previous seven regular-season openers.

For totals, it's all about the OVER for the Packers. The OVER has cashed in eight of the previous 11 regular-season openers, while going an impressive 4-0 in the past four inside the division. And the OVER is 5-2 in the past seven when favored, and 35-16 in the past 51 games in the month of September, too.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Vikings have the potential to be a powerhouse on offense, as Cook is a home-run hitter in the run game, as long as he can stay healthy, and Jefferson is a budding superstar capable of housing it every time he touches the football.

Minnesota seems to really relish the role of being a home underdog, going 20-7-1 ATS in the past 28 such instances, while going 5-2 ATS in their past seven games on a fieldturf surface.

As far as the total is concerned, like the Packers, it's all OVER all the time. The OVER cashed in seven of the final eight games last season, including Week 18 in Green Bay. The OVER is 4-1 in the past five divisional tilts for the Vikes, while also going 4-0 in the past four as an underdog.

In this series, the OVER has hit in four in a row, while the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the past five meetings.
