LOS ANGELES RAMS vs. ARIZONA CARDINALS BETTING PREDICTION

The Rams and Cardinals play the first of two regular-season meetings on Sunday. These NFC West Division rivals met three times last season, as the eventual Super Bowl champ Rams ousted the Cardinals in the NFC Wild-Card round en route to a championship.

Los Angeles hasn't been championship caliber to date, as the Buffalo Bills curb-stomped the Rams 31-10 in Week 1 in the home opener, before the Rams bounced back for a 31-27 win against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. The Rams held a 28-3 lead, but nearly blew it in a second-half collapse. The Falcons know about 28-3 collapses, especially in the biggest of games.

For Arizona, it was on the short end of a 44-21 score against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, and it was staring at a potential 0-2 start when it trailed 20-0 at Las Vegas last weekend. However, QB Kyler Murray and the Cardinals rebounded in the final 30 minutes of regulation, outscoring the Raiders 23-3 to force overtime. Murray took matters into his own hands on the final play of regulation, scoring on a 3-yard scamper to cut the lead to 23-21. He then connected with veteran WR A.J. Green for a two-point conversion to force OT. DB Byron Murphy Jr. scooped up a fumble and housed it for the 29-23 win, a miraculous comeback which might have kept Arizona's season from going off the rails before it got started.

Score Prediction: Rams 34, Cardinals 29
Best Bet: Cardinals -3.5 (-108)
Best Bet: OVER 48.5 (-105)

LOS ANGELES RAMS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Rams raised a banner in Week 1, then the Buffalo Bills razed the Rams and SoFi Stadium in a 31-10 beatdown to splash cold water on the SoCal crowd. L.A. bounced back in Week 2 with a 31-27 win over the Falcons, but it was anything but a clean performance. After building a 28-3 lead, the Rams took their foot off the gas and nearly let Atlanta all the way back. The Rams turned the ball over three times, and they can ill afford to repeat that against the Cards.

The Rams have not covered either of their games so far this season, and they're 0-4 ATS in the past four games overall dating back to last regular season. In addition, L.A. is just 2-8 ATS in the past 10 following a non-cover, and 1-4 ATS in the past five after a straight-up victory.

Los Angeles has dominated this series, however, going 9-1-1 ATS in the past 11 meetings, while covering seven straight trips to the desert. The favorite is also 9-2-1 ATS in the previous 12 in the series, while the road team is 11-4-1 ATS in the previous 16 meetings. All of those trends point in the favor of the defending champs.

The OVER is 6-1 in the past seven games in the month of September, with the lone UNDER coming in Week 1 against the Bills. The UNDER is 5-2 in the past seven inside the division for the Rams.

ARIZONA CARDINALS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Cardinals had a tremendous comeback in Vegas last week, saving their season. Starting out 1-1 and 0-2 is a huge difference, especially in terms of probability of making the playoffs.

Arizona grabbed the cover on the road, but it is still just 2-6 ATS in the past eight games overall. At SFS in Glendale, the Cards are a dismal 0-6 ATS in the past six at home, while going 1-4 ATS in the past five after a SU win and cover.

On totals, the Cardinals have cashed the OVER in four of the past five games at home, while going 6-2 in the past eight games on a grass playing surface. However, the UNDER has hit in five of the past seven overall, splitting the first two games so far this season.
