Baltimore has been on quite the rollercoaster to open the season, especially on the defensive side of the ball, as the Ravens allowed just 18 PPG in their four victories over the Jets, Patriots, Bengals, and Browns, however, they also allowed 30 PPG across their trio of losses to the Dolphins, Bills, and Giants.

Tampa Bay, on the other hand, is a strong contender for biggest disappointment in the league thus far, as the Buccaneers opened with a bumpy 3-4 skid that includes head-scratching losses to the Steelers and Panthers, highlighted by Tom Brady and co. scoring 21 PTS or less in six of those seven contests.

I’ll take the under here, as both of these offenses are capable of erupting in any given contest, however, I expect Thursday night’s event to be a relatively low-scoring battle between a Bucs squad that’s eclipsed 22 PTS just once this season (18 PPG), and a Ravens squad that’s now scored 20 PTS or less in three of their last four contests (20.5 PPG).

BALTIMORE RAVENS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Ravens are off to a solid 4-3 start to the season, however, their record certainly doesn’t tell the full story, as Baltimore led by 17+ PTS late in the second half matchups against Buffalo and Miami, but in the end, they lost those two contests, and the Ravens now have three losses on their resume.

However, If Baltimore actually hung on to win those two games, the Ravens would be receiving much higher praise after averaging 26 PPG and forcing two turnovers per contests across a hypothetical 6-1 start, but it’s probably unfair to evaluate a squad based on a would’ve, could’ve, should’ve scenario.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Buccaneers won the NFC South with a record of 13-4 last season, which tied Green Bay for the top spot in the conference, marking Tampa Bay’s first division title since 2007 under head coach Jon Gruden and QB Jeff Garcia. However, the Bucs’ postseason journey came to a screeching halt with a 30-27 loss to the Rams in the Divisional Round.

The Bucs ultimately came up short in last year’s playoffs, and they haven’t looked great to start this season, but make no mistake, this is still one of the most dangerous squads in the league with Tom Brady at the helm, and they deservedly boast the fifth-best odds to win the NFC despite averaging just 17.7 PPG through the first seven weeks of the season.
