Chicago’s offense was the most dysfunctional unit in the league during the first six weeks of the season, as the Bears averaged 15.5 PPG on 294 YPG across a 2-4 skid to open, and they didn’t even look like they were trying to score, as Justin Fields attempted just 19.2 passes per game across those six contests.

However, the Bears’ offense finally appeared to show signs of life in Weeks 8 and 9, as Chicago’s offense racked up 31 PPG on 381 YPG across a 1-1 split against New England and Dallas, which brings them to a relatively modest record of 3-5 given their lackluster production through Week 6.

I’ll back Miami here, as the Dolphins are 5-1 in contests that Tua Tagovailoa has participated in this season, while averaging 24.2 PPG on 38 YPG across those six matchups. And while the Bears may seem fit for the task after posting a pair of solid offensive performances in their latest two affairs, I think we’re due for a reminder of how bad Chicago’s offense played to open the year.

MIAMI DOLPHINS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Dolphins stormed out to a red hot start to the season, as Miami entered Week 4 as the last undefeated team in the AFC after opening with a perfect 3-0 run consisting of wins over the Patriots, Ravens, and Bills, while racking up 27.7 PPG on 355 YPG across those three victories.

However, Tagovailoa’s health issues quickly derailed the operation, as the Dolphins averaged just 16 PPG and turned the ball over seven times across an 0-3 skid in his absence, before finally getting back over the hump with a pair of wins over the Steelers and Lions with Tua back in action.

CHICAGO BEARS BETTING ANALYSIS

Chicago finished third in the NFC North with a record of 6-11 last season, as the Bears stormed out to a solid 3-2 start to the year, however, their success fizzled out quickly, as they posted a frustrating 3-9 skid the rest of the way, highlighted by their offense ranking 27^th in scoring and 24^th in yardage per play (18.3 PPG, 4.9 YPP).

So, the Bears opened with a little bit of déjà vu this season, as the Chicago jumped out to a surprisingly strong start by posting tough wins over the Niners and Texans in two of their first three contests.

However, Chicago’s offense still struggled in those affairs, as Fields and co. averaged just 17.3 PPG on 265 YPG across their 2-1 start to the year. And while it looks like the Bears might’ve found a spark after scoring 31 PPG against Dallas and New England in Weeks 7 and 8, I’ll be stunned if they escape with a victory in this contest.
