SEATTLE SEAHAWKS vs. ARIZONA CARDINALS BETTING PREDICTION

The Seahawks posted a relatively pedestrian start to the season, as Seattle scored just 15.7 PPG and allowed 23.3 PPG across a lackluster 1-2 skid to open, with their only victory during that span coming in an ugly Week 1 battle against Denver (W, 17-16).

However, Geno Smith and co. have flipped the script since their opening skid, as the Seahawks followed that up with a thrilling 4-1 run in Weeks 4 through 8, while racking up 27+ PTS in four of those contests (32.6 PPG), and defensively, surrendering 23+ PTS in three of them (25.8 PPG).

I’ll back the Cardinals, though, as Arizona has looked like a completely different squad since the return of DeAndre Hopkins, highlighted by Kyler Murray and co. scoring 26 PTS in back-to-back contests in Weeks 7 and 8. And if the Cards can dial up a similar defensive effort to the one they showed in their 19-9 loss to Seattle back in Week 6 (296 YDS), I think we’ll see them cruise to their second home victory of the season here.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Seahawks have been one of the most exciting squads to watch through the first half of the season, as Seattle posted a surprisingly solid 5-3 stretch in the immediate aftermath of Russell Wilson’s departure, while both scoring and allowing 23+ PTS in five of those contests (26 OPPG, 25 DPPG).

However, even with so many points allowed on the defensive side, Seattle’s offensive numbers are still somewhat exaggerated by monster performances in Weeks 4, 5, and 7, as the Seahawks racked up 39 PPG in matchups against relatively weak defensive units in the Lions, Saints and Chargers, compared to scoring just 18.6 PPG in matchups against slightly tougher units in the Broncos, 49ers, Falcons, Giants, and Cardinals.

ARIZONA CARDINALS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Cardinals played awful in their first matchup of the season against Seattle, as Arizona scored just nine points on 315 yards of total offense and turned the ball over twice in a 19-9 road loss to the Seahawks back in Week 6.

Seattle’s offensive numbers have become inflated by a trio of eruptions against the Lions, Chargers, and Saints (39 PPG). However, outside of those three contests, the Seahawks averaged just 18.6 PPG across their other five affairs, which includes Arizona’s excellent defensive performance a few weeks ago (19 PTS, 296 YDS). And I doubt Seattle’s 25^th ranked scoring defense will hold against a Cardinals squad that’s generated 34 PPG in their two contests since the return of Hopkins.
