Tennessee Titans vs. Kansas City Chiefs Same Game Parlay Picks and Predictions
NFL betting expert Michael Crosson gives his same game parlay selection for Sunday night's primetime matchup between the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs. Odds provided by DraftKings.
Titans vs. Chiefs SGP Picks
- Kansas City Chiefs Under 28.5 Points Scored (+100)
- Derrick Henry (TEN) Over 84.5 Rushing Yards (-145)
- Travis Kelce (KC) Over 69.5 Receiving Yards (-130)
Payout: +425
Kansas City Chiefs Under 28.5 Points Scored
The Chiefs, on the other hand, have performed right on par with previous campaigns to open the season, as Patrick Mahomes and co. racked up 37.2 PPG on 424 YPG across their five wins thus far, however, it wouldn’t truly be an Andy Reid led squad without a couple offensive meltdowns sprinkled in against the Colts and Bills (18.5 PPG, 351 YPG).
I’ll take the under here, as we’re either going to see a banged up Ryan Tannehill (ankle) or rookie Malik Willis under center for Tennessee on Sunday night. So, I’m expecting to see a very run-heavy script from a squad that’s already notorious for leaning on the ground game more than most. And while taking a Chiefs’ point-total under may feel like walking on thin ice, I think this is a good spot going up against a Tennessee defense that’s surrendered 17 PTS or less in four straight contests (13.5 PPG).
Derrick Henry (TEN) Over 84.5 Rushing Yards
After averaging just 53.5 rushing yards on 17 carries across a frustrating 0-2 skid to open the season, the Titans relied heavily on Derrick Henry to spark their current win streak, as Henry enters Week 9 having carried the ball 20+ times for 85+ YDS in five straight contests, resulting in lofty averages of 130 YPG on 26.4 CAR during that timeframe.
I’ll back him to rush for 85+ YDS here, as Henry has now carried the ball 28+ times for 100+ YDS in three straight contests, and while it’s tough to rumble for that type of stat line against a Chiefs defensive front that ranks seventh in yards allowed per carry (4.2 YPC), that won’t stop Mike Vrabel from calling his number 25+ times in Sunday night’s matchup.
Travis Kelce (KC) Over 69.5 Receiving Yards
In the immediate aftermath of Tyreek Hill’s departure, Travis Kelce has quickly become the Chiefs’ bonafide top pass-catcher, if he wasn’t already, as Kelce currently leads the team in all major statistical categories with averages of 79 YPG on 6.7 REC to go along with seven total touchdowns in his first seven outings of the season.
As the weeks go by, it seems like Mahomes is gradually losing trust in his receiving core and opting to lean more on his superstar tight end. Kelce has now hauled in 6+ passes for 92+ receiving yards in three of his last four contests (7.5 REC, 81 YPG), and in the one game he fell short of that number, he still managed to find the endzone four times (25 YDS, 4 TD). So, I’ll back Kelce to keep it going here.
