CINCINNATI BENGALS vs. TENNESSEE TITANS BETTING PREDICTION

The Titans posted back-to-back 11-win campaigns prior to their impressive 7-3 start to this season, however, Mike Vrabel’s squad continues to be doubted week after week, as Tennessee entered the year with the second-best odds to win the AFC South behind the Colts. And now, they enter Week 12 as short home underdogs against the visiting Bengals.

Cincinnati stumbled out to a disappointing start to the season, which was an incredibly out of character stretch for this squad, as the Bengals' defense allowed just 17.8 PPG and forced eight turnovers in their first five games of the year, which was impressive stuff, but on the other side of the ball, their offense generated just 21.6 PPG in those contests, resulting in a 2-3 skid to open their campaign.

However, Joe Burrow and co. have flipped the script since then, as the Bengals enter Sunday following scoring outputs of 30+ PTS in four of their last five games, resulting in a solid record of 4-1 in those contests. And it’s not like they’ve been aided by improved health status, highlighted by Ja’Marr Chase missing four of those affairs with a hip injury.

I’ll back Tennessee here, though, as the Bengals really struggled to protect Burrow early in the season, and I think we’re due to see those struggles resurface against an elite Titans’ defense that’s now held its opponent to 20 PTS or less in seven straight games.

Score Prediction: Titans 24, Bengals 20

CINCINNATI BENGALS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Bengals posted a surprisingly poor start after coming just three points shy of winning last year’s Super Bowl, as the reigning AFC Champs dropped their first two matchups of the season against the Steelers and Cowboys, marking just the sixth time a defending conference champion has started 0-2 since the beginning of the Super Bowl era

The Bengals’ offense has really cranked up the heat since their frustrating start, though, highlighted by the Bengals scoring 27+ PTS in six of their last eight contests. However, the more noteworthy aspect of the Bengals’ turnaround has been their defensive success, as they also held their opponent to 19 PTS or less in five of those affairs.

TENNESSEE TITANS BETTING ANALYSIS

Tennessee posted a surprisingly poor start to the season, as after earning the top seed in the AFC with a record of 12-5 last year, the Titans immediately followed that up by scoring just 13.5 PPG in losses to the Giants and Bills in their first two matchups of this season.

However, they’ve turned things around through phenomenal defensive play, highlighted by the Titans allowing just 15.1 PPG across their latest 6-1 stretch, which includes a solid 1-1 split against the Texans and Chiefs with backup QB Malik Willis under center.

Tennessee isn’t built to stand toe-to-toe in a shootout if Cincy has its way on the offensive side of the ball. However, I still like my chances with the Titans as home underdogs after seeing their defense allow 20 PTS or less in the seven straight games (14.4 PPG).
