Aston Villa vs Fulham Preview
Aston Villa | Draw | Fulham |
3/4 | 11/4 | 7/2 |
Today's first preview takes us to Villa Park, where Aston Villa will host Fulham. The Villains are just outside the top five, but a win today could jump them into the Champions League places. And for Fulham, qualification for the Europa League or Conference League is more than possible, so they need the three points as much as their opponents.
Form-wise, Villa have lost their last two, including against Crystal Palace last weekend. Fulham have had mixed results recently, losing to Chelsea and Fulham, but getting wins against Southampton and Liverpool. When the sides last met, Villa walked away 3-1 winners.
Villa only have one absentee, but it's a big one, with Marcus Rashford ruled out for the rest of the season. Fulham will be without two players through injury, namely Reiss Nelson and Rodrigo Muniz.
Prediction
This is a game both sides need to win, but Villa have a much stronger squad, even without Marcus Rashford, and should overpower their visitors from London. But they won't have it all their own way, as Fulham have shown themselves to be no pushovers this season.
Our Premier League Prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 Fulham
Everton vs Ipswich Preview
Everton | Draw | Ipswich |
12/25 | 16/5 | 21/4 |
This isn't the most interesting of fixtures, with Everton playing for pride and Ipswich already condemned to Championship football next season. But it can be livened up with a wager or two!
Everton go into the game having lost their last two, although this can be forgiven, as they were against Manchester City and Chelsea, two teams aiming for Champions League qualification. Ipswich haven't won in their last four, losing three and drawing one. Last time the sides met, the Toffees ran out 2-0 victors.
Everton will be without James Tarkowski, whose season is over due to injury, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin is training again after a long-term injury. Ipswich will be without several players. Leif Davis and Ben Johnson are suspended, while Nathan Broadhead, Axel Tuanzebe, Conor Townsend, and Kalvin Phillips are all injured. Sammie Szmodics, Wes Burns, and Jaden Philogene are all racing to be fit.
Prediction
Both teams are in poor form and have nothing to play for, plus neither side is renowned for running up big scores. Everton will fancy their chances, but Ipswich have shown some fight this season and could give the Toffees a run for their money.
Our Premier League Prediction: Everton 1-1 Ipswich
Arsenal vs Bournemouth Preview
Arsenal | Draw | Bournemouth |
11/10 | 13/5 | 23/10 |
Tonight's evening game sees Bournemouth travel to Arsenal. The Gunners might have missed out on the title, which Liverpool claimed last weekend, but will want to secure second spot, while Bournemouth still have a chance of European qualification, despite their disappointing form recently.
Arsenal haven't lost in eight games, but they did lose in midweek, as they went down 1-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League semi-final first leg. Bournemouth have drawn their past two games, and have been pretty poor overall for the last couple of months, which has seen them slide down the table.
The Gunners have six long-term absentees - Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel, Riccardo Calafiori, and Jorginho. Neto, on loan from Bournemouth, is ineligible to face his parent club. Bournemouth will be without Luis Sinisterra, Ryan Christie, and Enes Unal. However, Evanilson will be available after the red card he received against Manchester United was overturned.
Prediction
Arsenal go into the game as favourites, but they have bigger fish to fry. Will they become complacent as they look ahead to their crunch game against PSG on Wednesday? If they do, Bournemouth could take a surprise three points and enhance their European prospects. But Arsenal should have enough.
Our Premier League Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Bournemouth
Other Premier League Predictions: May 3, 2025
There's also one other Premier League game today. Check out our prediction below:
- Leicester City vs Southampton: With both sides already relegated, this game is pretty much meaningless. Both have been terrible, and a draw seems to be the most likely result. Our Premier League Prediction: Leicester City 2-2 Southampton
