The Bulldogs of Butler head into this one looking to rebound from a 29-point licking from Purdue on a neutral floor in Indianapolis last weekend. Butler didn't cover the 16-point number, or even come close, while the UNDER connected. It splashed a little cold water on Butler's recent hot streak, which saw them rattle off four straight victories, including an outright win at Oklahoma as an 11.5-point 'dog on Dec. 7. That's also the last time they hit the OVER, too.

With the exception of the Oklahoma game, this team has pretty much beaten the teams they're supposed to beat, and they've fallen to the teams they're supposed to lose to.

St. John's has had a couple of extra days of rest thanks to its game at Seton Hall getting canceled due to, what else, COVID-19. It gave the Johnnies a few extra days to ponder what went wrong in its most recent game on Saturday, a 59-57 loss to a bad Pittsburgh team as an 11-point favorite. It was a shocking loss after St. John's had looked pretty good in a three-game stretch against three solid mid-majors, Fordham, Monmouth and Colgate. Like Butler, the Red Storm have pretty much beaten everybody they've been expected to beat, while it hasn't always been pretty, and they have lost to teams which they were expected to lose to, with the Pitt game being the only real bad loss.

The Bulldogs pull into Queens looking to bounce back after that sound beating from Purdue. They're also on an 0-2 ATS skid, and they're 2-6 ATS across the past eight games overall, and just 3-9 ATS overall on the season. This will be their second true road game, and they looked good in that only other win away from home. Butler topped Oklahoma 66-62 in a low-scoring game in overtime in Norman on Dec. 7, a rare OVER result, thanks to the trip to overtime.

Speaking of totals, Butler has been a favorite of those who enjoy betting OVER-UNDER results. Butler hit the UNDER against Purdue, going for just 48 points while shooting a dismal 32%, or 19-of-59 from the field. That included an awful, awful 4-of-28 (14%) showing from behind the three-point line. That's two UNDERs in a row, and the Bulldogs have hit eight UNDERs in 10 games overall this season. In fact, this team is going for just 63.4 PPG, while allowing only 60.0 PPG. They like to slow it down to a snail's pace and try and grind it out with methodical offense and a suffocating defense. It's their only hope, as they don't have a ton of size, but they have a lot of heart.
