The OVC (Ohio Valley Conference) has a new champion for its conference tournament after Murray State took home the title in 2022. Murray State has since left for the Missouri Valley Conference, but Morehead State, the 2021 champion, was knocked out in the semifinals by upstart Southeast Missouri.

The Redhawks, the fifth seed going into the tournament, captured the automatic bid to the Big Dance by outlasting Tennessee Tech in overtime, 89-82.
