The Cyclones are coming off a 70-61 loss against Kansas last time out on Tuesday night, snapping a meager two-game win streak. Iowa State is also 4-6 SU across the past 10 outings, while going 4-5 ATS in the previous nine games. The Cyclones started off with an impressive 12-0 SU run, with wins against the likes of Creighton, Iowa, Memphis and Xavier, but they have taken multiple black eyes in the conference. Iowa State looked like a sure-fire NCAA Tournament team around the holidays, but now they're playing more like a bubble team in need of some signature wins to make sure that bubble doesn't burst.

The last time these teams played in Ames on Jan. 15, Iowa State came away with a 79-70 win as a 2.5-point underdog. Texas will have revenge on its mind. The Longhorns are looking for a bounce-back game after getting blasted 77-64 at Texas Tech last time out on Tuesday. The 77 points allowed were the most given up by the Longhorns since the 79 points the Cyclones tossed up in mid-January.

I just don't trust the Cyclones. Yes, they started out 12-0 this season, but they're just not a very good team so far during conference play. In nine games inside the Big 12, Iowa State has won just three times. Yes, it's a tough league, but they're looking more like a bubble team than a team deserving of an NCAA Tournament bid.

Give me the Longhorns at home, although they have also been struggling against the number. Laying more than four buckets is a little much, so take the Cyclones with the points to keep it somewhat close. This won't be a double-digit win or cover for Texas, but it will be a straight-up victory, and a rather high-scoring affair, too.
