Texas A&M vs Houston Picks & Prediction

A Lone Star State battle between a pair of old SWC rivals as Texas A&M looks to pull the upset over Houston.

The top-seeded Cougars bounced back from an embarrassing loss in the Big 12 title game to Iowa State as Houston rolled past Longwood, 86-48 as 23-point favorites.

The Aggies were one of three SEC teams to survive past the opening round as they blew out Nebraska, 98-83. Texas A&M dropped 58 points in the first half, while hitting 13-of-23 three-pointers in the victory.

Buzz Williams' squad has stepped up in March by going 6-1, while topping the 80-point mark in each of the past five games.

Houston held off Texas A&M in December, 70-66 at Toyota Center as 7-point favorites. The final score is misleading since the Cougars led by 21 points with under 16 minutes left before the Aggies rallied late to grab the cover.

A&M has been terrific of late, but Houston's defense is elite and can slow down this Aggies' attack.
