Ty France (SEA) Over 0.5 Hits/ DJ LeMahieu (NYY) Over 0.5 Hits (-107)

Ty France is coming into this game with some of the best matchup history on the slate. Jose Urquidy has had a solid season thus far, but whether he produces a quality outing or struggles, he still pitches to contact and gives up plenty of hits. France is batting .429 with 3 HR’s in 21 PA’s vs Urquidy, considering France isn't much of a power hitter it definitely shows you he’s seeing his pitches very well. Against Uquidy’s top 4 pitches he’s batting .330/.172/.378/.318, so the underlying numbers definitely make sense. France is batting .309 (10th in the MLB) and .330 over his last 15 games, I’m going to continue to count on France to get the job done in a positive matchup.

While plenty of Yankees have good matchup history against Brady Singer, I like DJ LeMahieu in this spot. While they have limited matchup history, LeMahieu holds a 3-4 record against Singer. Looking at the underlying numbers, Singer is only throwing sinkers/sliders to RHB this season, and DJ holds an xBA of .295/.288 vs those two pitches. DJ is coming in with some great recent form, batting .281 on the season but .333 in the month of July. He’s coming in with 1+ hit in 13 of his last 16 games, despite some tough pitching matchups. With Andrew Benintendi heading to town, I’m going to trust that DJ proves to the Yankees brass that he can also hit singles all day long.
