Betting on the Los Angeles Dodgers has become quite popular since certain US states started offering legal sports betting. Pitchers such as Don Drysdale and Sandy Koufax led the way with Walter Alston in place as the Dodgers’ manager. Los Angeles added to its popularity with additional MLB championship runs in 1982 behind pitcher Fernando Valenzuela and in 1988 behind staff ace Orel Hershiser.

More recently, the Dodgers added another World Series title in 2020 by beating the American League’s Tampa Bay Rays in six games of a best-of-seven format, then the Yankees in 2024.

The list of prominent players to ever wear Dodgers’ Blue reads like a who's who of current and future MLB Hall of Famers. The overall popularity of this franchise is continually bolstered by its unparalleled success on the baseball field.

Playing in the NL West, the biggest team rivalry would be against the San Francisco Giants. Things have also heated up recently against the San Diego Padres as rivals in Southern California.

As relatively new MLB expansion teams in the 1990’s, you could add the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies to that list. With the Dodgers’ East Coast roots, an interleague series against the Yankees would draw quite a bit of attention from MLB bettors in legal sports betting states.
