UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: An hour before tipoff, UConn is up to a 10-point favorite on TwinSpires Sportsbook's Big East Tourney odds board. The Huskies opened -9 and made a stop at -9.5 along the way up.

Connecticut is attracting 60% of spread bets/70% of spread money.

"The public is siding with UConn, as they have all season. We'll need the 'dog to cover, at a bare minimum. An outright win would make our day," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said.

The total is up to 144 from a 141.5 opener. The Over is taking 58% of tickets/72% of money.

UPDATE MIDNIGHT ET FRIDAY: UConn (30-3 SU/21-12 ATS) held off No. 5 seed St. John's 95-90 in Friday's semifinals. But the Huskies fell short of covering as 9.5-point favorites.

Still, Connecticut enters the Big East final on a 6-0 SU/5-1 ATS run and is 20-1 SU in its last 21 games (14-7 ATS).

Marquette played without star guard Tyler Kolek (oblique) in the Big East Tourney. In Friday's second semi, the Golden Eagles (25-8 SU/20-12-1 ATS) were 4.5-point faves and stopped No. 7 seed Providence 79-68.

UConn went 2-0 SU and ATS against Marquette in the regular season.

FanDuel Sportsbook opened UConn -8.5 in the Big East Tournament odds market. There was no movement tonight.
