  • Opening point spread: Browns -1.5
  • Opening moneyline: Browns -125/Steelers +105
  • Opening total: Over/Under 42.5 points scored
  • Time: 8:15 p.m. ET Monday (ABC)

UPDATE 7 P.M. ET FRIDAY: BetMGM opened Cleveland -1.5 (-105) and has been at -2.5 since late Tuesday afternoon. Ticket count is 2.5/1 and money 3/1-plus on the Browns.

The total plunged from 42.5 to 38.5 by midweek and hasn't moved since. Ticket count is 2.5/1 and money 9/1 on the Under.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: This line jumped the fence at TwinSpires, moving from Steelers -1 to Browns -2. Cleveland is drawing 60% of early spread bets/77% of early spread money.

"It's a mix of sharp and public play on the Browns. Pittsburgh is another home 'dog we'll likely need come Monday," Lucas Said.

The total is at 39 from a 40 opener, with 55% of tickets on the Over/58% of money on the Under.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Cleveland, a 1.5-point Week 1 home underdog, put the clamps on Joe Burrow and Cincinnati. The Browns (1-0 SU and ATS) rumbled to a 24-3 victory.

Pittsburgh (0-1 SU and ATS) was a trendy Week 1 spread play against San Francisco. But the Steelers were never in it, losing 30-7.

The SuperBook moved the Browns-Steelers line from pick to Cleveland -1 tonight.

"Our lookahead was Pittsburgh -1. But after the Steelers looked really bad against San Francisco and Cleveland played well against Cincinnati, there was some push to make Cleveland a road favorite," Michaelson said. "We eventually settled on pick 'em, with the total dropping 1.5 points from the lookahead.

"It's tough to predict how the public will approach this game. On one hand, Cleveland looked way better than Pittsburgh today. But at the same time, the public could view this as a must-win for Pittsburgh and expect a better effort."

The first line move tonight was toward the visitor, with The SuperBook pushing Cleveland to -1.

Browns vs Steelers Pick, Prediction

Action Network NFL betting expert Brandon Anderson offers this prediction:

The line has moved 3.5 points from Steelers -1 last Sunday morning, thanks to Cleveland's dominant win over the Browns and Pittsburgh's embarrassing showing against the 49ers.

This was a completely one-sided rivalry for years, with the Steelers winning 31 of 34 through 2018, but the Browns have won four of nine since.

This game screams under. Jim Schwartz's defense looks nasty and should have its way with a blah Steelers line and a bad Matt Canada offensive scheme, but do you really trust Deshaun Watson on the road with a rookie RT starting for Jack Conklin against the league's best pass rush? Points will be at a premium.

The average Browns/Steelers game the last two years finished at 40.75 points. Unders went 12-4 in Week 1, and there are a slew of trends leaning under here:

  • Primetime unders the last four years: 60%
  • Home underdog unders the last two years: 61%
  • Kevin Stefanski unders with a total 43 or below: 69%
  • Deshaun Watson unders with a total 42 or below: 78%
  • Week 2 unders with a total 40 or below: 71%

Pick: Under 38.5 (-110)
