Denver Broncos vs. New York Giants Predictions

Score Prediction - Broncos 24 Giants 16

The Broncos made their decision at QB ahead of the season, giving the nod to Teddy Bridgewater over Drew Lock. The Giants are using this year to see if Daniel Jones is truly worth handing over the keys to the franchise. Unfortunately for Jones, this is one of the worst matchups for his team to open the season, regardless of if it’s at home.

The Broncos main issue has been finding stability at the QB position while the Giants are still trying to figure out what they have there. Only one of those issues was solved this summer, and it’s not Jones. Bridgewater steps into an offense with better overall talent than he threw to in Carolina, while the Giants stacked up their pass catchers like training wheels for Jones.

The Giants are dealing with a couple of key injuries which only compound how difficult it will be against the Broncos. Saquon Barkley is expected back in a full capacity, but behind a non- existent offensive line. Kenny Golladay might be out or at least a slower start to work him in the game. Evan Engram is still up in the air, another target for Jones.

Rookie Kadarius Toney hasn’t played much at all this preseason but expects to be out there. CB Adoree’ Jackson is also questionable with a decent chance to miss the game. That’s simply way too much uncertainty surrounding a bad team to bet.

The Broncos are pretty much healthy as well as have edges in key matchups. They should own the Giants OL – specifically on the outside. Von Miler and Bradley Chubb should benefit the most, but the secondary will also benefit from Jones being harassed. That’s the biggest advantage for either team in this game, just how badly Denver’s pass rush wants to punish the Giants. Lastly, another key figure for the Broncos lies in just how bad Jones’ decision-making is.

Nobody turned the ball over more – 51 combined turnovers – in the last two years than Jones. You aren’t winning many games at all in the NFL with that number.

The New York Giants have gone UNDER the point total in seven straight games. (AP)

Denver Broncos vs. New York Giants Betting Analysis

Nobody covers football games like Bridgewater, as he’s been untouchable since entering the NFL. The record is an astounding 36-14 ATS, a 72% clip, which is outrageous. Bridgewater is one of the game’s most accurate mid-range passers and he takes less risk by avoiding most downfield throws. He has a bunch of talent around him in Denver and should be able to take a chance or two against the Giants.
