Arizona Cardinals Under 17.5 Points Scored

The Niners are having a relatively bumpy campaign, but not nearly as bumpy as the Cardinals, as San Francisco currently trails Seattle by half-a-game for the NFC West lead with a record of 5-4, while Arizona trails by two games at 4-6.

A handful of injuries hindered the Niners' defense for a brief moment, as San Francisco surrendered 28+ PTS in back-to-back losses to Atlanta and Kansas City in Weeks 6 and 7. But aside from those two contests, their defense has been phenomenal this season, highlighted by the Niners holding their opponents to 13 PPG in their other seven affairs.

Assuming Kyler Murray isn’t quite at full strength or Colt McCoy gets the start for the Cards, this is a brutal spot for them hosting a Niners defense that’s allowed 16 PTS or less in six of their last eight games. So, I’ll back Arizona to fall short of 18 points in Monday night’s contest.

Christian McCaffrey (SF) Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Christian McCaffrey wasn't utilized much in his debut with the Niners back in Week 7, as the former Panthers’ RB carried the ball eight times for 38 rushing yards and caught just two passes for 24 receiving yards in an ugly 44-23 loss to the Chiefs.

However, he's shouldered much heavier workloads in his two outings since his debut, as McCaffrey averaged 66 rushing yards on 16 carries per game and 47 receiving yards on six receptions per game to go along with three total TD’s in wins over the Rams and Chargers in Weeks 8 and 10.

So, I’ll back McCaffrey to find the endzone again in Monday night's matchup against a Cardinals’ defensive front that ranks 23rd in the league in rushing touchdowns allowed per game.

DeAndre Hopkins (ARI) Anytime Touchdown Scorer

So, I know this slightly contradicts the first leg of my parlay, but I fully stand behind this selection, despite giving myself very little wiggle room with the Cardinals already locked into scoring less than 17.5 points as a necessary part of the combination.

DeAndre Hopkins has been on fire since returning from suspension in Week 7, as the Cardinals’ All-Pro WR hauled in 10+ passes for 98+ receiving yards in three of his first four outings on the year, while also finding the endzone in two of those contests.

Arizona’s offense probably won’t gain much traction against the Niners’ elite defensive unit, regardless of who’s under center. But with both Cardinals’ quarterbacks currently nursing injuries, and a rushing attack that ranks 20th in the league in yards per attempt, I think we’ll see Kliff Kingsbury lean heavily on his superstar wideout to make plays in the redzone with their limited opportunities.
