NASHVILLE PREDATORS vs. LOS ANGELES KINGS PREDICTIONS

The Predators doubled up the Anaheim Ducks on Monday night in Southern California behind Juuse Saros, and now they have the quick turnaround against the Kings. Backup tendy David Rittich is projected as the expected starter, although he has been fine when called upon. In the second end of a back-to-back situation in his most recent start, Rittich was in the crease in Minnesota on March 13 while backstopping a 6-3 win.

The Kings have alternated loss and wins across the past five outings, including a 5-1 beatdown in Vegas on Saturday. At home, Los Angeles blanked San Jose by a 3-0 score on Thursday behind Cal Petersen. L.A. has lost in regulation once across the past four games at home (2-1-1) in the month of March. The Kings will be looking for redemption after a 4-2 loss at home against the Predators in the most recent meeting at Crypto.com Arena on Jan. 6. The team's also met in the Music City on Oct. 19, with the Predators winning 2-1.

NASHVILLE PREDATORS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 36-22-4
  • ATS: 36-26
  • O/U: 36-26

The Predators have won each of their past two games by a 6-3 score, topping the Ducks in Anaheim on Monday, and doubling up the Maple Leafs in the Music City on Saturday, both behind Juuse Saros. The most recent back-to-back situation was March 12-13, with the Preds losing the front end, and winning in Minnesota in the second end. Prior to that, Nashville hadn't gone back-to-back since Jan. 17-18, losing both games. Before that, it was Dec. 29-30, with the Preds again losing both ends. Nashville has had nine back-to-back situations this season, winning the second game five times.

Nashville is 4-1 in the past five games overall, while going 4-1 in the past five against winning teams, too. The Preds are 5-1 in the past six outings against Western Conference opponents, while going 17-7 in the past 24 following a victory.

For totals, the OVER is 5-1 in the past six games overall, while going 4-1 in the past five as an underdog, too. The OVER is 21-6 across the past 27 games on the road, while going 14-5 in the previous 19 against Western Conference foes. the OVER is also 7-3-1 in the past 11 when playing on no rest.

LOS ANGELES KINGS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 34-22-8
  • ATS: 38-26
  • O/U: 27-36-1

For the Kings, they're skidding a little bit. Los Angeles has picked up wins in just two of the past six games overall, and they're 1-5 in the past six games against Western Conference teams. They're also 5-12 in the past 17 against Central Division teams, too.

L.A. is favored, and lately that has been a good thing. The Kings are 6-2 in the past eight as a home favorite, and 7-2 in the previous nine overall when favored.

For totals, the UNDER has connected in four of the past five outings, while going 21-9 in the past 30 as a home favorite. The UNDER is 35-16-1 in the past 52 against Central Division foes, too. The OVER has connected in seven of the past 10 against winning teams.

The OVER is 11-5-1 in the past 17 meetings between the Preds and Kings in L.A. (AP)

NASHVILLE PREDATORS vs. LOS ANGELES KINGS BETTING CONCLUSION

The Predators have dominated this series in recent seasons, winning nine of the past 10 meetings in the series, while taking five of the past six skates in Los Angeles. The favorite is 7-1 in the past eight in this series, though, which suggest a Kings win here. With the Predators using a backup goaltender in a back-to-back situation, perhaps that's a good line.

However, due to Nashville's complete and utter dominance in this series, the fact it looked so good offensively on Monday, and the fact it is playing much better hockey than Los Angeles lately, a small-unit play on the visitors is the better bet. The OVER is the best play on the board here, however.
