LATEST UPDATE: Spain is a -102 favorite on BetMGM's three-way moneyline, as of 2:30 p.m. ET Monday, 30 minutes before the match. Portugal is +270 and Draw +240, after this contest opened at Spain -110/Portugal +340/Draw +260.
Spain is taking 79% of money in three-way play. And in the To Advance market (Spain -200/Portugal +155), 78% of cash is on Spain.
"At the moment, it looks like we'd be better off with a low-scoring affair that sees Portugal go through to the quarterfinals," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said. "There's no shortage of action on Spain, Over 2.5 and both teams to score today."
The total is at 2.5 (Over -130), after opening at 2.5 (Over -115).
SECOND UPDATE: As of 11:30 a.m. ET Monday, 3.5 hours before kickoff, Portugal vs. Spain odds have seen only modest adjustments, with the Spanish side the clear favorite.
On DraftKings Sportsbook's three-way moneyline, it's Spain -110/Portugal +295/Draw +265. So Spain hasn't moved off the opener at all, while Portugal shifted from +310 to +285, then +195, and Draw moved from +260.
Spain is taking 59% of tickets/75% of money, with Portugal at 20% of tickets/15% of money. In an interesting occurrence, Draw is actually taking more bets than Portugal, at 21%, while getting 10% of money.
In the To Advance market, it's Spain -220/Portugal +175, matching the opening odds. Spain is netting 69% of bets/76% of dollars.
The total is at 2.5 (Over -125), flipping from an opener of 2.5 (Under -120). The Over is drawing 83% of tickets/82% of money.
OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Portugal survived the Round of 32 by a narrow margin on a VAR review, but advanced nonetheless. Ronaldo scored on a 68th-minute penalty kick to tie Croatia at 1, and Goncalo Ramos scored in second-half injury time to give Spain a 2-1 victory.
Croatia appeared to score in the final minute of protracted injury time to forge a 2-2 tie. But after review, it was ruled offsides, giving -145 favorite Portugal the victory Thursday night.
In the preceding match, Spain had no such troubles handling Austria. Mikel Oyarzabal scored two goals, leading Spain to a 3-0 victory as -350 chalk vs. Austria. Spain has yet to allow a goal in four 2026 World Cup matches.
