And there was quite the surprise ending. Oklahoma beat favored North Carolina in the final, as the market now flips forward to 2027 College World Series futures odds.

2027 College Baseball World Series Futures Odds

LATEST UPDATE: When CWS futures odds opened many months ago, BetMGM had Oklahoma at +6600. When regionals began, the Sooners were much longer shot at +15000 (150/1). Before the Super Regionals, you could still get Oklahoma at +3500.

By the time the Sooners arrived in Omaha, their price was down to +1400 in College World Series odds. Ten days later, on June 22, Oklahoma (43-23) is the CWS champion.

In Game 3 of the best-of-3 final vs. favored North Carolina (54-14-1), the Sooners steamrolled the Tar Heels 13-2. It wasn't quite what BetMGM wanted, but with many other well-bet teams bowing out early in CWS futures, it was still a good result for the book.

Said BetMGM trading manager Christian Cipollini before the championship series:

"Oklahoma would be the worst result, but still a winning result."

So it's now on to 2027 College World Series futures odds. Sportsbooks haven't yet put up numbers, but check back for updates.
