Odds Subject to Change

The Crimson Tide have been opened as three-point road favorites with the betting line for the total in this game set at 151.5 points.

Alabama bounced back from a five-point non-conference road loss to Oklahoma as a -3.5-point favorite with Wednesday’s 18-point victory over LSU as a -8.5-point home favorite. It is 11-1 straight-up (9-2-1 against the spread) dating back to a Dec. 22 win against East Tennessee State.

The total has stayed UNDER in four of the last six games. The Tide have a 7-3 SU edge in their last 10 games against Missouri but they have failed to cover in five of the last seven meetings.

Missouri has one SU loss in its last six games while going 4-2 ATS. It is four games in back of Alabama (10-0) in the SEC at 5-3 SU. The total has gone OVER in its last five games.

The Tigers are 7-1 SU at home this season with Wednesday’s five-point over Kentucky as -4.5- point favorites. They have covered in four of their last five home games with the total going OVER in three of those contests.

Betting Analysis – Alabama Crimson Tide

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 15-4
  • ATS: 12-6-1
  • SU - Home: 11-3

Alabama has won six of its 10 SEC games by double figures this season. Jaden Shackelford’s 19 points helped the Tide pull away from LSU on Wednesday night.

The sophomore guard has led the way all season long with an average of 13.8 points per game. He has been able to eclipse that average in each of his last three starts.

Guard John Petty is a close second with 13.2 PPG and forward Herbert Jones (12.1 points) is shooting 46.7% from three-point range.

As a team, the Tide are averaging 79.8 PPG and shooting 43.7% from the field. This number drops to 35.5% from three-point range.

Jones leads the way in rebounds with six a game as part of Alabama’s 40.5 average. The defense his holding opposing teams to 69.2 PPG.

Betting Analysis – Missouri Tigers

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 12-3
  • ATS: 9-6
  • SU - Home: 8-1
  • SU - Away: 4-2
  • O/U: 9-5-1

It took a season-high 26 points from guard Dru Smith and 14 more from guard Xavier Pinson to hold off Wednesday night’s second half rally by Kentucky.

Pinson leads the team in scoring on the year with 15.1 PPG and Smith (13.9 points) is one of four players averaging at least 10 points a contest.

Guard Javon Pickett is the team’s best shooter with a 51.0 shooting percentage from the field. However he remains questionable for Saturday with an ankle injury.

The Tigers are scoring an average of 75.2 PPG and converting on 45.4% of their shots from the field. This goes down to 31% from three-point range. They are averaging 37.3 rebounds a game while allowing 70.2 PPG on defense.

Alabama-Missouri Predictions

These are the top two teams in the SEC standings but the gap in overall talent between Alabama and Missouri is rather wide. The Tides’ only SU loss since late-December was outside the conference, and I have them staying perfect in the SEC on Saturday afternoon while also covering the spread.

You can parlay that play with the OVER on the total line with each of these teams focusing more on scoring points than playing defense.

  • Score Prediction: Alabama 79 Missouri 74
  • Best Bets: Alabama -3
  • Best Bets: OVER
