The Iowa Hawkeyes look to get back on track as they head to Bloomington, Indiana to face the Indiana Hoosiers. This Big Ten clash is set for noon (ET) and will air on FOX.

Iowa opens as the road favorite, given a -3.5-point spread despite dropping a game at home to Ohio State. Iowa is 10-8 on the ATS this season, while Indiana has covered 10 of 17 games this season.

The point total is 153.5, which both schools lean OVER on slightly. Iowa has gone OVER the point total in 12 of 18 games this season, while Indiana is 9-8 on the O/U.

The Hawkeyes are struggling a bit, losing three of their last four games. Even more surprising is that Iowa has lost two of its last three games inside the Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

They now travel to a hungry Indiana team without C.J. Fredrick for the second straight games, as he is listed as questionable. Iowa still has the second-best offense in the nation (points and efficiency), along with Wooden Award leading candidate Luka Garza.

The Iowa defense is the main catalyst for the Hawkeyes' struggles, proven against Ohio State in which they allowed over 85 points. Iow ahas now allowed 80 or more points in three of its last four games, losing all three. It doesn't matter how many points this team can score if they're allowing over 80 a game.

The defense needs to step up if Iowa wishes to advance far in March Madness, but so does Jordan Bohannon. He finally played well against Ohio State, but scored nine points or fewer in three straight prior. He shot 0-for-8 from beyond the arc last time against Indiana, and will need another high-scoring performance with Fredrick possibly out again.

The Hoosiers will lean on the play of Trayce Jackson-Davis, the team's leader in many different facets. As stated many times, this team goes as far as TJD takes them.

Yes, Armaan Franklin, Aljami Durham and Race Thompson contribute productive numbers as well - but Jackson-Davis almost always has to be the best player win the court for Indiana to win. He has yet to score under 11 points in any game this season, and has seen four double-doubles in his last seven games.

He also gets to the free throw line quite often, taking at least 10 shots from the charity stripe in four of his last five games.He also leads the team in blocks per game with 1.8, as he and Thompson help lead the Hoosiers to 4.5 a game which ranks 41st nationally. TJD now faces Garza, scoring 23 last time out on the Wooden leader.

Iowa-Indiana Predictions

This is a game between two desperate teams, with Iowa looking to turn things around and Indiana looking to secure a bubble bid for March Madness. Expect Iowa's offense to at least touch 70 points, which would be an off afternoon for the Hawkeyes.

Assuming both teams come out with desperation to win, look for the point total to go OVER. The combined O/U between both schools is 21-14, so play the smart odds here. Take the O/U trends favoring the OVER, Iowa's second-ranked offense that averages 90 points per game, Iowa's defense that allows 75 points per game and the notion both teams will play with desperate urgency.
