After a three-game losing streak from Jan. 29-Feb. 5, with each setback as a favorite, LSU appeared to be righting the ship with wins at Texas A&M and home against Mississippi State and Georgia from Feb. 8-16. However, it's back to the drawing board after another stunning loss at South Carolina last time out, again as a favorite. Since Jan. 12, the Tigers are a dismal 4-7 SU, tumbling down the SEC standings after attaining a Top 10 ranking at one point.

The Wildcats are seeking revenge after a 65-60 loss in Baton Rouge back on Jan. 4 when things were going quite a bit better for the Tigers. Lately, Kentucky has had no such troubles, going 7-1 SU across the past eight outings dating back to Jan. 25. That includes an impressive 90-81 victory over Alabama at Rupp as 5.5-point favorites on Saturday as the OVER connected. In fact, the 90 points were the most scored since Big Blue dropped 107 on Tennessee in a conference tilt Jan. 15.

Kentucky has some injury issues which could make this game a little more interesting and closer. Gs Tyty Washington Jr. (ankle) and Sahvir Wheeler (wrist) are listed on the injury report. Washington is the team's second-leading scorer with 12.4 PPG, which also ranking second with 4.1 APG. Wheeler leads the teams in dimes with 7.1 APG, so if one or both are sidelined, the backcourt will certainly have some issues. F Oscar Tshiebwe already is a one-man wrecking crew, and he would need someone to help out in the scoring department if Washington is out. LSU could be catching a huge break if both players are down.

The way LSU has been going, taking the points would be a bad idea, but with Kentucky's backcourt ailments, catching four buckets is a nice little gift for the purple and gold. Tshiebwe will get his, but if there is no Washington or Wheeler, hit LSU and hit them hard.
