The Atlantic Coast Conference will have 11 out of the 15 schools in action for Week 4 for a total of six games, five within the conference and one non-conference matchup.

All games are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020.

Conference

  • Louisville at Pittsburgh
  • Georgia Tech at Syracuse
  • Duke at Virginia
  • Florida State at Miami-Florida
  • N.C. State at Virginia Tech

Non-Conference

  • Texas State at Boston College

Clemson and North Carolina are off, while the Notre Dame-Wake Forest game was postponed.

Louisville at Pittsburgh (ACC, 12:00 p.m. ET)

Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -2.5, O/U 54.5

  • Last Week: Louisville L 34-47 vs. Miami-Florida (+2, 66)
  • Last Week: Pittsburgh W 21-10 vs. Syracuse (-21, 47.5)

The Cardinals did a good job on offense, posting 34 points against the Miami Hurricanes on their home field. The bad news was they coughed up 47 points to the new-look spread offense of the Canes. QB Malik Cunningham completed 26-of-36 passes for 307 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, while RB Javian Hawkins posted 27 rushes for 164 yards and a score. And star WR Tutu Atwelll also shined with eight grabs for 114 yards and two touchdowns, as the big starts were out. However, the defense was unable to stop anyone, as the Canes had three touchdowns through the air and 18.1 yards per reception, while rushing for 160 more yards and two scores. The over has connected in each of the first two games for Louisville.

The Panthers limped through a 21-10 win over visiting Syracuse. QB Kenny Pickett was good enough, throwing for 215 yards and two touchdowns, but the Panthers offense certainly took a step back after their 55-0 win over FCS Austin Peay in the opener. The defense was sick, though, yielding just 171 yards. They'll need all hands on deck against Louisville's offense. Pitt allowed just 1.5 yards per rushing attempt last weekend.

Georgia Tech at Syracuse (ESPN3, 12:00 p.m. ET)

Betting Odds: Georgia Tech -8.5, O/U 52.5

  • Last Week: Georgia Tech L 21-49 vs. UCF (+9.5, 63.5)
  • Last Week: Syracuse L 10-21 at Pittsburgh (+21, 47.5)

The Yellow Jackets stunned Florida State in Tallahassee in their opening game, but they tumbled back to Earth when UCF paid a visit to Bobby Dodd in Atlanta last week. True freshman QB Jeff Sims is a star in the making, completing 18-of-36 for 244 yards, one touchdowns and two interceptions while running for a team-best 82 yards and a score. Once he learns to limit his mistakes, he has the tools to be special.

QB Rex Culpepper, a cancer survivor, was the feel-good story of last week. He took over for the injured QB Tommy DeVito (shoulder), completing 4-of-9 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown. DeVito's status for Saturday is uncertain. The Orange defense squeezed the Panthers for just 127 rushing yards and 2.9 yards per attempt, keeping the visitors in the game, and they were able to grab their first cover in two games. The under has cashed in each of Syracuse's two outings to date.

Duke at Virginia (ACC, 4:00 p.m. ET)

Betting Odds: Virginia -5, O/U 46.5

  • Last Week: Duke L 6-26 vs. Boston College (-4, 49.5)
  • Last Week: Virginia (making their season debut)

Duke was impressive in the opener, hanging with Notre Dame on the road before fizzling in the fourth quarter. Last week they were never in it, as Boston College humbled them at Wallace Wade by a 26-6 score. While the total yardage was rather even, they posted a minus-4 turnover margin. The Blue Devils have managed just 19 total points so far, and they're allowed 26.5 PPG through two games. As such, the under has hit in each of their two outings.

Virginia will be making their season debut after having the Virginia Tech-Virginia game postponed Sept. 19 due to COVID-19 concens. That rivalry game, and some were probably happy to see it, will be rescheduled for Dec. 12 at the end of the regular season, where it usually occurs. These teams met last season on Oct. 19 at Scott Stadium in Charlotteville, with the Hoos blasting Duke 48-14 as just 3.5-point favorites.

Texas State at Boston College (ESPN3, 6:00 p.m.)

Betting Odds: Boston College -17.5, O/U 58.5

  • Last Week: Texas State W 38-17 at Louisiana-Monroe (-3, 58)
  • Last Week: Boston College W 26-6 at Duke (+4, 49.5)

Texas State have been in every game so far, losing 31-24 at home in their opener against SMU despite being shorthanded due to a coronavirus outbreak on the team. They lost a double-overtime thriller to UTSA, 51-48, on Sept. 12, and they picked up their first win at Louisiana-Monroe 38-17 last week. The Bobcats have an impressive offense, averaging 36.7 PPG with 429.3 total yards per contest. However, they're also allowing 33.0 PPG and 495.7 yards per game. They're 2-1 ATS so far, including 1-0 ATS as an underdog.

Boston College made its season debut in Durham last week, and RB David Bailey led a mediocre rushing attack which totaled 84 yards on 42 carries, or just 2.0 yards per tote with one touchdown. QB Phil Jurkovec shined with 300 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, with WR Zay Flowers starring with five grabs, 162 yards and a score, while Hunter Long added seven snares for 93 yards and a TD. While BC dominated on the scoreboard, they had just 384 to 351 total yards, with 20 first downs to 19. The big difference was a plus-4 turnover margin.

Florida State at Miami-Florida (ABC, 7:30 p.m.)

Betting Odds: Miami-Florida -11.5, O/U 54.5

  • Last Game: Florida State L 13-16 vs. Georgia Tech (-13, 49.5)
  • Last Week: Miami-Florida W 47-34 at Louisville (-2, 66)

The Seminoles were dumped 16-13 at home against Georgia Tech, a stunning star to their season, losing outright as a double-digit favorite. The offense posted just 307 yards on offense while allowed 438. The good news is that the scoring defense allowed just 16, but they'll need to be even better this week against a high-flying Miami offense.

The Hurricanes rolled up 47 points at Louisville last week, and they're averaging 488.5 total yards per game while winning and covering each of their outings to date. The Hurricanes are using the spread offense for the first time in school history, as offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee has it going in the right direction. QB D'Eriq King has thrown for 466 yards and four touchdowns while also running for 92 yards and a TD.

N.C. State at Virginia Tech (ACC, 8:00 p.m.)

Betting Odds: Virginia Tech -7, O/U 58.5

  • Last Week: N.C. State W 45-42 vs. Wake Forest (PK, 53)
  • Last Week: Virginia Tech (making their season debut)

N.C. State was involved in a video game-like battle against Wake Forest, topping the Demon Deacons 45-42 in a wild one at Carter-Finley in Raleigh in front of a smattering of parents and family of the players. The Wolfpack had a nice, balanced attack with QB Bailey Hockman throwing for 191 yards and a score, while RB Ricky Person Jr. rumbled for 99 yards and a pair of scores, and RB Zonovan Knight added 97 yards and a touchdown. Hockman also ran for 30 yards and a touch. Unfortunately, the defense allowed 385 total yards and 32 first downs.

Virginia Tech had their opener pushed back due to COVID concerns. Head coach Justin Fuente begins his fifth season at the helm, and they're looking to bounce back after losing to rival Virginia to cap the season and collapsing against Kentucky at the Belk Bowl last time we saw them on NYE. The good news is the Gobblers return 18 of 22 starts from a team which was 8-3 heading into late November.
