Ahead of the release of Taylor Swift’s brand new album, “The Life Of A Showgirl”, VegasInsider has collected all of the records that could be broken upon the album’s release in various countries.

To highlight a few of the records that could be broken:

  1. If the album goes to #1 in the US, Taylor Swift will break her tie with Jay-Z & Drake and become the solo artist with the most #1 albums. All three of them have had 14 #1 albums, so this would be Swift’s 15th #1 album. The Beatles are the only artist above Swift, Drake, and Jay-Z with 19 #1 albums on the US charts.
  2. Speaking of The Beatles, by reaching #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, Swift would tie their long-standing record and become only the second artist in history to reach #1 for seven consecutive years in a row (2019-2025). The Beatles achieved this between 1964 and 1970, and Swift has reached #1 on the Billboard 200 every year since 2019, which would make 2025 her 7th consecutive year with a #1 album.
  3. When looking at other countries, if “The Life Of A Showgirl” goes to #1 in the UK, Swift will extend her record as the female artist with the most #1 albums in the UK (this could be her 14th #1), if it goes to #1 in Australia, Swift will extend her record as the female artist with the most #1 albums in Australia (this could be her 14th #1). If it goes to #1 in Canada, Swift will tie Drake & Celine Dion as the artist with the most #1 albums on the Canadian chart (this could be her 15th #1).
  4. “The Life Of A Showgirl” also has a chance of breaking Swift’s own records on Spotify: the most-streamed album in a day and the most-streamed album in a week. Taylor Swift’s 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” currently holds the record for the most-streamed album on Spotify in a day (313.747 million) as well as the most-streamed album in a week (1.173 billion), which could both be potentially surpassed by “The Life of a Showgirl”.
  5. Last but not least, Taylor Swift could become the first woman ever to have a #1 album, a #1 song, and a #1 movie in the same week in the US. Alongside “The Life Of A Showgirl” album, Taylor Swift is also releasing an accompanying film in the cinemas, “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party Of A Showgirl”, which has a high chance of debuting at #1. Jennifer Lopez was the first female artist to ever have a #1 album and a #1 movie in the same week with her “J.Lo” album at #1 and “Wedding Planner” at #1 in the same week in 2001.

Taylor Swift’s new album “The Life Of A Showgirl” is set to be released on the 3rd of October 2025.
