Ahead of the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, VegasInsider has collected a list of records that could be broken at the 2026 ceremony.

To highlight some of the records that could be broken:

  1. One Battle After Another” could tie or break the record of “La La Land” for the most wins by a single film during one Golden Globes ceremony - “La La Land” won 7 awards and “One Battle After Another” is nominated for 9 Golden Globes in 2026.
  2. Lee Byung-hun (nominated for “No Other Choice”) could become the first South Korean and the first Asian actor to win in the Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical category.
  3. Chloé Zhao (nominated for “Hamnet”) could become the first female director to ever win in the Best Director category on multiple occasions.
  4. Claire Danes (nominated for “The Beast in Me”) could join a rare group of 12 actors who have won 5 or more Golden Globes for acting.
  5. Steve Martin (nominated for “Only Murders in the Building” could break O Yeong-Su’s record and become the oldest male actor to win a Golden Globe (Martin is 80 and Yeong-Su won when he was 77).
  6. Amanda Seyfried, Jacob Elordi or Jeremy Allen White could join a rare group of 4 actors who managed to win 2 Golden Globes for acting for a different performance in one night (Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver & Joan Plowright); additionally, by winning both awards, either Elordi or Allen White could also become the first male actor to ever win two Golden Globes for acting in one night - Elordi is nominated for “The Narrow Road to the Deep North” in the Best Actor in a Limited Series category and for “Frankenstein” in the Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture category, Allen White is nominated for “The Bear” in the Best TV Actor - Musical/Comedy category and in the Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” while Seyfried is nominated for “The Testament of Ann Lee” in Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical(Comedy category and for “Long Bright River” in the Best Actress in a Limited Series/TV movie category.
