Corbin Carroll to Hit a Home Run (+280 | FanDuel) vs. (SP: Merrill Kelly)

First up, we have Corbin Carroll of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ever since he entered the league, Carroll has been one of baseball’s most electrifying players. 

Despite his small stature, he still hits for plenty of power. This is especially true against right-handers as he’s generated a 148 wRC+ with a ridiculous .599 SLG.

He has a great matchup today against Rangers’ trade deadline acquisition Merrill Kelly, who has allowed 16 home runs on the year, 12 of which have been against lefties.

Kelly’s 1.53 HR/9 is certainly gettable – at +280 on FanDuel Sportsbook, it’s a value with other sportsbooks posting odds around +230.

Brent Rooker to Hit a Home Run (+375 | bet365) vs. (SP: Drew Rasmussen)

Next up, we’re going to take a look at Brent Rooker.

Despite some really lackluster lineups, Rooker was able to break out in 2023 and 2024 at Oakland. And now, Oakland’s lineup is as potent as it’s ever been since Rooker’s arrival.

Although Rooker has been tearing the cover off the ball against lefties (.330 AVG), he’s still more than formidable against right-handers. Rooker is slugging .475 against that same side, with 19 of his 24 home runs coming against the same side.

On the surface, he has a tough matchup against Drew Rasmussen, who has been able to limit the long ball. However, Rasmussen sits in the 17th and 13th percentiles in Hard Hit% and average exit velocity, respectively. It’s tough not to feel good about the value sitting at bet365 Sportsbook (+375 odds).
