The Most Dog-Friendly Baseball Stadiums in America (2026)

A Vegas Insider analysis of officially listed dog-friendly game dates across all MLB and affiliated MiLB stadiums in the United States.

The Ballpark Experience Just Got a Lot More Dog-Friendly

America has 65 million dog owners. A growing number of them want to bring their best friend to a ballgame. Thanks to a wave of official Bark at the Park and Bark in the Park events sweeping professional baseball, that's now a real possibility, but only if you're at the right stadium.

Vegas Insider analysed every MLB and affiliated Minor League Baseball stadium in the United States, counting the number of officially listed dog-friendly game dates on team promotions and ticketing pages for the 2026 season. The result is the most comprehensive ranking of dog-friendly baseball stadiums in America.

The findings are stark. One minor league stadium in Pennsylvania hosts 43 dog-friendly games this season, meaning fans can bring their dog to nearly half of all home games. Meanwhile, some of the most iconic ballparks in the country, Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, Dodger Stadium, offer zero official dog-friendly events in 2026.

If you're planning a baseball trip around your dog, where you go matters enormously.

The Best MLB Stadiums for Dog Owners

If you're committed to the major league experience, the options are narrower — but some teams deliver. The Pittsburgh Pirates lead MLB by a distance, but a second tier of teams offers genuine dog-friendly programming worth planning around.

The San Diego Padres rank second in MLB with 6 Bark at the Park dates at Petco Park — a fitting name for a dog-welcoming venue. The Washington Nationals follow with 5 events at Nationals Park. The Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, and Seattle Mariners each host 4 dog-friendly games in 2026, making them solid options for fans in those cities.

The contrast with baseball's biggest brands is impossible to ignore. The New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, and Chicago Cubs — four of the highest-attended franchises in baseball — offer their fans zero official dog-friendly games in 2026. Combined, those four stadiums welcome more than 6 million fans through their gates each season. Not one of those visits can include a dog.

The Zero Club: MLB Stadiums That Don't Welcome Dogs

Thirteen MLB stadiums have no official dog-friendly events on the 2026 schedule. The list includes some of the most storied venues in the sport.

Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, Dodger Stadium, Daikin Park, Globe Life Field, Tropicana Field, Angel Stadium, LoanDepot Park, Citizens Bank Park, Truist Park, and others all score zero. For fans at these parks, the only way to bring a dog to a game is as a service animal — official Bark events simply don't exist.

"The biggest stadiums in baseball draw the biggest crowds — but when it comes to welcoming dogs, the minor leagues are winning by a landslide."

Expert Comment

"Dog-friendly events have become one of the smartest tools in minor league baseball's fan engagement playbook. These aren't gimmicks — teams like the Scranton RailRiders and the Peoria Chiefs are running genuine programmes that bring new audiences through the gate every single week. Major league teams with zero dog-friendly dates are leaving a meaningful fan experience on the table. For anyone planning a baseball trip in 2026, the minor leagues aren't the consolation prize — they're the destination."

The Verdict: Skip the Majors, Head to the Minors

The data is clear. If you want to take your dog to a baseball game in 2026, minor league baseball is where the welcome mat is out. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders host more dog-friendly games in a single season than most MLB teams have hosted across the last five years. Pennsylvania alone has four stadiums in the national top tier. And across the country, hundreds of minor league dates give dog owners a genuine reason to buy a ticket.

In MLB, the Pittsburgh Pirates stand alone — 11 Bark at the Park events makes PNC Park the only major league stadium that competes with the minor league leaders. Everyone else is playing catch-up.

Thirteen MLB franchises, including the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, and Cubs, currently offer nothing. With 65 million dog owners in America and growing fan demand for inclusive gameday experiences, that's not just a missed opportunity — it's a gap that minor league baseball is already filling.

The best seat in the house for you and your dog? It's almost certainly not in the majors.

Methodology

Vegas Insider analysed all MLB and affiliated Minor League Baseball stadiums in the United States across four levels: Triple-A, Double-A, High-A, and Single-A. Stadium names, teams, locations, and capacities were sourced from Wikipedia's current MLB stadium list and affiliated MiLB team tables.

Dog-friendliness was defined as the number of officially listed dog-friendly game dates per team for the 2026 season. Events were identified from official MLB.com and MiLB.com promotions and ticket pages only — blogs, forums, and third-party sources were excluded. Each listed game date was counted as one event; duplicate dates across multiple pages were counted once. Where no 2026 page existed, the most recent full season available was used. Where no official page was found at all, the stadium was assigned a count of zero.

Scores were scaled to a 0–100 Dog-Friendly Score relative to the highest observed count (43 games, PNC Field). Data extracted: April 2026.
