Ready for Wednesday’s baseball action with an MLB Same Game Parlay that pays out +606?  Follow along as MLB betting expert, Nick Galaida, breaks down his SGP picks for Wednesday, July 23.

On Wednesday, there are only 5 evening games on tap in the MLB, but there are a few good matchups in store for those who weren’t able to partake in the action during the afternoon. From a betting perspective, there are 2 home teams that are well-positioned to finish off a series sweep, which could be used as the foundation for today’s DraftKings 4+ leg parlay promotion.

As always, it is worth noting that straight wagers are a far more profitable long-term betting strategy than parlays. Still, parlays can be a fun way to get some extra action on a game to make things interesting! Be sure to check out the latest MLB Odds as well!

Cleveland Guardians -1 (+111)

Last night, Cleveland had 9 left-handed bats in the lineup against Brandon Young, trying to create as strong of a platoon advantage as possible. Tonight, they would be well-served to employ a similar strategy, given that Zach Eflin has struggled to a 7.71 FIP and 1.64 WHIP against lefties in 2025. The Guardians are well-positioned to put the finishing touches on an early-week sweep.

Jose Ramirez OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-155)

Jose Ramirez has been at his best against southpaws this season, but he’s more than capable of doing damage against RHP as well. In 2025, Ramirez owns a .275 batting average and a 138 wRC+ against righties. He’s looked good since the All-Star Break too, hitting .294 with a 272 wRC+ in that span. Ramirez has 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, and has scored 7 runs across his last 5 games. He should have opportunities this evening to continue his recent stretch of excellent production.

Philadelphia Phillies -1 (-106)

Entering the All-Star break, Lucas Giolito had completed 6 innings in 6 consecutive starts, allowing only 3 earned runs across a span of 38.2 innings. However, it's worth noting that he did benefit from a likely unsustainable .229 BABIP and 86.5% strand rate during that span. He also allowed only 2 home runs in that span, despite allowing near a league average barrel% and hard-hit%.

Giolito was touched up against the Cubs in his first start coming out of the break, and it wouldn't be surprising to see those struggles continue today against a good Phillies lineup. Boston’s lineup has also struggled mightily against southpaws in recent weeks, ranking 29th in wRC+ during the last 14 days. Philadelphia has a good chance to finish off a sweep in front of their home fans on Wednesday.

Lucas Giolito UNDER 17.5 Outs Recorded (-135)

During the last month, Lucas Giolito has struggled with his efficiency, averaging 3.95 pitches per batter faced. Tonight, he will have to contend with a patient Philadelphia lineup that has the potential to do significant damage on any given night. The weather in Philadelphia tonight also appears to be on the hitter-friendly side, with the temperature around 80 degrees and 7 mph winds blowing out towards left-center field. Factor in a rested Boston bullpen and there are reasons to think Giolito could see a quicker-than-usual hook in this spot.
