Bucks vs Mavericks

by Michael Crosson

Despite sitting in second place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 32-16, the Milwaukee Bucks fired head coach Adrian Griffin last week and named former Sixers coach Doc Rivers as his replacement.

However, the opening days of the Doc Rivers era in Milwaukee haven’t exactly gone according to plan considering the Bucks have posted a record 0-2 in their first two matchups with Rivers on the sidelines – with one of those losses coming against a Portland team that’s positioned second-to-last in the Western Conference standings.

I’m not overly concerned about Milwaukee though. Prior to their latest two losses, the Bucks were 7-2 in their last nine games, while ranking 9th in the league in net rating during that span – and I’m not convinced that their latest coaching change is the cause of their recent skid.

That said, tonight’s matchup should be an excellent opportunity for the Bucks to bounce back as they take on a Mavericks team that’s 4-7 in their last 11 games – while ranking 15th in offensive rating and 30th in defensive rating since January 8.

Pick: Bucks -4.5 (-110)

Lakers vs Knicks

by AAA Sports

Los Angeles Lakers +5 (-114)

While we do feel an outright win is possible, in the end we'll recommend to grab as many points as you can with the visiting side.

LA is 26-25 now after its upset 114-105 road win as a 15-point dog last time out. LeBron James and AD both sat that one out, but are expected to play here.

LA plays with revenge as well after a 114-105 home loss to the Knicks back in December, and note that the Lakers are 3-1 ATS in their last four in trying to avenge a SU/ATS home loss vs. an opponent.

After nine straight SU wins, the Knicks now have a big target on their backs. While we do feel an outright upset is a possibility, in the end we'll recommend to grab the points here with LA.
