Golden State Warriors vs. Indiana Pacers Predictions

The Warriors live and die with Steph Curry shooting the basketball. With the all-time three-point record still lingering, Curry has clearly been pressed – and so has the rest of the team. In his attempt to pass Ray Allen, Curry has struggled recently from 3, as has his teammates.

The Warriors can’t afford to take the Pacers lightly, especially as good as Indy has been at home. They need more from both Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, or the Warriors are going to lose their second straight game on the road. Curry can’t play the post, so someone on the Warriors on top of Green will have to slow down Domantas Sabonis.

It’s not just Sabonis who has picked things up during this win streak, in fact credit Caris LeVertmore than anyone. The Pacers are starting to get scoring on multiple levels, but if Sabonis can consistently get to the basket – and free throw line – the Pacers have a shot at keeping this one close. <.p>

Unfortunately for Indy, the Warriors can only slump for so long with Curry and if he’s back on his mark it spells trouble for the Pacers. Malcolm Brogdon can provide the x-factor for the Pacers but is going to need to pour in some points to keep up with Steph.

The Warriors won two straight before hitting the road. They lost in Philadelphia to open the trip but even before that showed signs of slowing down after that hot start. The last couple of games for the Warriors has boiled down to whether Curry is going to break Allen’s record, but the team has struggled from three as well. The depth is lacking for a Warriors team that is still without its second-best player.

Curry should be active Monday night, as there was a concern he would sit on the first of a back-to-back, so expect the same conversation all night surrounding the record. Jordan Poole will have to take over the responsibility of providing some offense behind Curry.

Things have certainly looked different for the Pacers over the past three games, beyond the team playing well at home. LeVert has stepped up now providing a third scoring option for Indy. Beyond Brogdon, the team continues to heavily rely on Sabonis up front.

Myles Turner is having himself a season and can be a huge defensive presence for the Pacers – on top of adding 20+ points. Turner adds another dimension to a Pacers offense that can score on all three levels, and has slowly picked things up on defense.

Golden State Warriors vs. Indiana Pacers Betting Conclusion

The Warriors are struggling as of recent to cover games, with just a 2-3 ATS record over their last five games. The Pacers are winning, which in this case is enough as a 3.5-point home dog. The problem for the Pacers is what happens if Curry gets back to knocking down three’s at a ridiculous rate.

The line is expecting a little bit of a bounce-back for the Warriors, but the Pacers have a good shot at putting pressure on the Warriors frontcourt. Ultimately this is a Steph game, one that may even be record-breaking.
