GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS VS. MILWAUKEE BUCKS PREDICTIONS

After finishing ninth in the West with a record of 39-33 SU last year, Golden State posted a surprisingly triumphant start to the season, as the Warriors opened with an impressive 18-3 SU and 15-5-1 ATS run – with 14 of those victories coming by double-digits.

The last few weeks have been relatively shaky for the Warriors though, considering Golden State is just 12-8 SU and 8-11-1 ATS across the last 20 games – despite getting tagged as favorites in 16 of those contests.

On the other hand, Milwaukee stumbled out to a slightly discouraging start to the year, as the Bucks kicked things off with a lackluster 6-8 SU and ATS skid – with four of those SU losses coming in matchups they were favored in.

The Bucks quickly turned things around following their opening stretch though, considering Milwaukee enters Monday sitting at 20-9 SU across the last 29 games – yet, sit just 13-16 ATS during that timeframe.

I’ll back Milwaukee at home here, as the Warriors’ struggles have significantly worsened since the latest injury to DPOY front-runner Draymond Green, as Golden State sits just 3-4 SU and 2-5 ATS across the last seven games – while the Bucks have played increasingly well at home as of late, sitting at 9-3 SU and averaging 116.7 PPG across their last 12 matchups at Fiserv Forum.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 30-10
  • ATS: 23-15-2
  • O/U: 14-25-1

After last year’s mediocre 39-33 SU regular-season showing, Golden State jumped out to a remarkably dominant start to this season, as the Warriors opened with wins in 18-of-20 games – with their only two losses across that span coming by slim margins of four points or less.

Golden State ran into a bit of a rough patch around the Holidays though, considering the Warriors enter Thursday sitting at just 12-8 SU and 8-11-1 ATS across the last 20 games – but luckily, Klay Thompson has arrived on the scene at just the right moment, as the five-time All-Star scored 31 PTS in first 39 minutes of action since 2019.

MILWAUKEE BUCKS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 26-17
  • ATS: 19-24
  • O/U: 18-25

After finishing with the best record in the East in two of the last three regular seasons, Milwaukee’s rough start was incredibly surprising, considering the Bucks’ compiled a record of 162-65 SU across the previous three seasons – and then opened this season just 6-8 SU.

Since mid-November though, Milwaukee has played excellent basketball when healthy, considering the Bucks are 20-9 SU across their latest 29-game stretch – with five of those losses coming in the absence of Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks are 5-10 SU in their last 15 matchups against Golden State. (AP)

The Warriors and Bucks split a two-game regular-season set last year, with each team claiming a victory on its respective home floor – and both matchups soaring over the total at a lofty average of 240 PPG.

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS VS. MILWAUKEE BUCKS BETTING CONCLUSION

After posting losses in three of their last four games, the Warriors will hit the road on Thursday night as narrow underdogs against the Bucks at Fiserv Forum – marking the sixth straight home matchup Milwaukee has been favored in.

I’ll back Milwaukee at home here, as the Warriors are 2-4 SU and 1-5 ATS in their last six road games, while averaging just 104.2 PPG across that window – setting the stage for another tough road matchup against a Bucks squad averaging 116.7 PPG across their last 12 home games (9-3 SU).
