INDIANA PACERS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS PREDICTIONS

After finishing ninth in the West with a record of 39-33 SU last year, Golden State posted a surprisingly triumphant start to the season, as the Warriors opened with an impressive 18-3 SU and 15-5-1 ATS run – with 14 of those victories coming by double-digits.

The last few weeks have been relatively shaky for the Warriors though, considering Golden State is just 14-10 SU and 10-13-1 ATS across the last 24 games – despite getting tagged as favorites in 18 of those contests.

On the other hand, Indiana stumbled out to a slightly underwhelming start to the season, as the Pacers kicked things off with a lackluster 12-16 SU and 14-13-1 ATS skid – despite getting tagged as favorites in 17 of those matchups.

The Pacers have played downright bad since their opening stretch though, considering Indiana sits just 3-13 SU and 6-9-1 ATS across the last 16 games – with eight of those SU losses coming by eight points or more.

I’ll take the under here, as Golden State has undeniably struggled recently, highlighted by the Warriors averaging just 102 PPG across their latest 3-5 SU stretch – but I still can’t bring myself to back a Pacers squad that’s scored 106 PTS or less ten times across their current 3-13 SU skid.

INDIANA PACERS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 15-29
  • ATS: 20-22-2
  • O/U: 21-23

After finishing ninth in the East with a record of 34-48 SU last year, Indiana stumbled out to a worrisome start to this season, as the Pacers opened with a frustrating 1-6 SU run – while scoring 102 PTS or less in four of those affairs (108.4 PPG).

Those concerns were seemingly legitimate though, considering the Pacers have stooped all the way down to 13th in the East with a record of 15-29 SU, highlighted by their 16th-ranked offensive efficiency rating (1.070 OE) – and their 27th-ranked three-point percentage (32.4% 3FG).

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 32-12
  • ATS: 25-17-2
  • O/U: 16-27-1

After last year’s mediocre 39-33 SU regular-season showing, Golden State returned seeking vengeance to start to this season, as the Warriors opened with wins in 18 of their first 20 games – with their only two losses across that span coming by slim margins of four points or less.

Golden State hit a bit of a rough patch around the Holidays though, considering the Warriors enter Thursday sitting at just 14-10 SU and 10-13-1 ATS across the last 24 games – but fortunately, Klay Thompson has arrived on the scene at just the right moment, as the five-time All-Star is averaging roughly 15.2 PPG on 21 MPG since his return to action.

The Pacers are 2-10 SU in their last 12 games. (AP)

INDIANA PACERS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Warriors and Pacers split a two-game regular-season set last year, with both contests staying under the total at an average of 208.5 PPG. The most recent matchup between these teams took place in December of this season though, which resulted in another low-scoring victory for Golden State (102-100).

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • IND: Domantas Sabonis - PF (18.9 PPG, 11.9 REB, 4.7 AST)
  • IND: Caris LeVert - SG (18.1 PPG, 3.5 REB, 4.2 AST)
  • GSW: Steph Curry - PG (26.1 PPG, 5.4 REB, 6 AST)
  • GSW: Andrew Wiggins - SF (18.5 PPG, 4.2 REB, 2 AST)

INDIANA PACERS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING CONCLUSION

After posting a fifth straight loss on Wednesday night, the Pacers hit the road for Thursday’s contest as moderate underdogs against the Warriors at Chase Center – marking the ninth time Indiana has been an underdog across the last ten games.

I’ll take the under here, as Golden State has struggled in the scoring department recently, considering the Warriors have tallied just 102 PPG across their current 3-5 SU skid – setting the stage for another low-scoring battle against a Pacers squad that’s scored 107 PTS or less seven times across their current 1-10 SU skid.

  • The Warriors are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games.
  • The total has gone UNDER in four of the last five matchups between Indiana and Golden State.
