BROOKLYN NETS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS PREDICTIONS

After finishing ninth in the West with a record of 39-33 SU last year, Golden State bounced back with a triumphant start to this season, as the Warriors opened with an impressive 18-3 SU and 15-5-1 ATS run – with 14 of those victories coming by double-digits.

The last few weeks have been relatively shaky for the Warriors though, considering Golden State is just 18-11 SU and 12-15-2 ATS across the last 29 games – despite getting tagged as favorites in 23 of those contests.

On the other hand, Brooklyn also stormed out to an excellent start to the season, as the Nets kicked things off with a sturdy 26-14 SU run – with 15 of those victories coming by eight points or more.

The Nets have been incredibly inconsistent since Kevin Durant’s latest injury though, considering Brooklyn has averaged just 110 PPG at home compared to 117 PPG on the road across their current 3-5 SU skid – mainly attributed to Kyrie Irving’s lack of participation in home matchups.

I’ll take the over here, as despite the Nets scoring 117 PPG across their last seven road games, Brooklyn is just 4-3 SU across that window due to a lofty defensive allowance of 117.5 PPG during that span – likely setting the stage for a competitive high-scoring battle against a Warriors squad that’s put up 124+ PTS in back-to-back contests (127 PPG).

BROOKLYN NETS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 29-19
  • ATS: 19-28-1
  • O/U: 23-25

After stumbling out to a surprisingly pedestrian start to the season, the Nets quickly found their rhythm during the early stages of November, as Brooklyn now boasts a sturdy record of 29-19 SU – yet still rank near the bottom of the barrel ATS at 19-28-1.

Brooklyn has struggled since Durant’s latest injury though, considering the Nets are just 3-5 SU across their last eight games, which includes a 2-2 SU tally in road matchups with Irving – and a 1-3 SU mark in home matchups without him.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 36-13
  • ATS: 27-19-3
  • O/U: 19-29-1

After last year’s mediocre 39-33 SU regular-season showing, Golden State returned seeking immediate vengeance to kick off the new season, as the Warriors opened with wins in 18 of their first 20 games – with their only two losses across that span coming by slim margins of four points or less.

The Warriors have primarily leaned on defense since that stretch, considering Golden State is just 18-11 SU across the last 29 games, while averaging 108 PPG offensively and surrendering 102 PPG defensively during that timeframe. Golden State’s mantra has gradually altered since the return of Klay Thompson though, highlighted by the Warriors tallying 114 PPG across their latest 4-1 SU run.

The Warriors are 7-1 SU in their last eight home games. (AP)

BROOKLYN NETS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Nets swept a two-game regular-season set against Golden State last year, with both matchups soaring over the total at a lofty average of 237.5 PPG. The most recent matchup between these teams took place back in November of this season though, which resulted in a relatively low-scoring victory for the Warriors (117-99).

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • BKN: Kyrie Irving - PG (23.4 PPG, 4.9 REB, 5.1 AST)
  • BKN: James Harden - SG (23 PPG, 8.1 REB, 10.1 AST)
  • GSW: Steph Curry - PG (25.8 PPG, 5.4 REB, 6.2 AST)
  • GSW: Andrew Wiggins - SF (18.1 PPG, 4.2 REB, 2.1 AST)

BROOKLYN NETS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING CONCLUSION

After posting back-to-back home losses to the Lakers and Nuggets, the Nets hit the road for Saturday’s matchup as five-point underdogs against the Warriors at Chase Center – marking the fourth straight game Brooklyn has been an underdog in.

I’ll take the over here, as Saturday’s contest should ultimately be an upbeat back-and-forth battle between a Warriors squad that’s scored 117+ PTS in three of their last five games (114 PPG) – and a Nets squad that’s averaging 117 PPG on the road since adding Kyrie back into the equation.

BROOKLYN NETS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING TRENDS

  • The Warriors are 7-1 SU in their last eight home games.
  • The Nets are 7-2 ATS in their last nine matchups against Golden State.
  • The total has gone UNDER in eight of the last ten matchups between Brooklyn and Golden State.
