WASHINGTON WIZARDS VS. MILWAUKEE BUCKS PREDICTIONS

After finishing eighth in the East with a record of 34-38 SU last year, Washington briefly kept that same ball rolling with another strong start to this season, as the Knicks opened with a sturdy 10-3 SU and 9-4 ATS run– despite getting tagged as underdogs in seven of those affairs.

The Wizards’ marginal depth has been on full display since their opening stretch though, considering Washington is just 13-23 SU and 10-25-1 across the last 36 games – with 11 of those SU losses coming by 10+ PTS.

On the other hand, Milwaukee stumbled out to a slightly disappointing start to the year, as the Bucks kicked things off with a lackluster 6-8 SU and ATS skid – with four of those SU losses coming in matchups they were favored in.

The Bucks have quietly dominated since that point though, considering Milwaukee enters Tuesday’s matchup sitting at 25-13 SU across their last 38 games, with 19 of those victories coming by eight points or more – despite owning a record of 16-22 ATS during that timeframe.

I’ll back Milwaukee at home here, as despite sitting at 2-4 ATS in the last six games, the Bucks have scored 112.5 PPG across their current 4-2 SU run – likely presenting a steep uphill battle for a Bradley Beal-less Wizards squad that’s tallied 105 PTS or less three times across their latest five-game losing streak (104 PPG).

WASHINGTON WIZARDS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 23-26
  • ATS: 19-29-1
  • O/U: 25-23-1

After their best showing in four years (34-48 SU), the Wizards were seemingly presented with an offer they couldn’t refuse during the offseason, as Washington dealt All-Star point-guard Russell Westbrook and a pair of second-rounders in exchange for Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope prior to the start of this season.

The trade worked out exceptionally well to start, as the Wizards opened with a sturdy 10-3 SU and 9-4 ATS run, but like other middle-to-low tier squads, Washington has been decimated by health issues throughout the year – resulting in their inevitable plummet to 11th in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 23-26 SU.

MILWAUKEE BUCKS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 31-21
  • ATS: 22-30
  • O/U: 23-29

After finishing with the best record in the East in two of the last three regular seasons, Milwaukee’s rough start was incredibly surprising, considering the Bucks’ compiled a record of 162-65 SU across the previous three seasons – and then opened this season just 6-8 SU.

Since mid-November though, Milwaukee has played excellent basketball when healthy, considering the Bucks are 25-13 SU across their latest 38-game stretch – with five of those losses coming in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (5).

The Wizards are 0-5 ATS in their last five games. (AP)

WASHINGTON WIZARDS VS. MILWAUKEE BUCKS HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Bucks swept a three-game regular-season set against Washington last year, with all three of those contests soaring over the total at a lofty average of 256 PPG. The most recent matchup between these teams took place back in November of this season though, which resulted in a low-scoring victory for the Wizards (101-94).

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • WSH: Kyle Kuzma - PF (16 PPG, 8.8 REB, 2.9 AST)
  • WSH: Montrezl Harrell - PF (13.9 PPG, 7 REB, 2.1 AST)
  • MIL: Giannis Antetokounmpo - PF (28.8 PPG, 11.2 REB, 5.8 AST)
  • MIL: Khris Middleton - SF (19.8 PPG, 5.7 REB, 5.3 AST)

WASHINGTON WIZARDS VS. MILWAUKEE BUCKS BETTING CONCLUSION

After posting a fifth straight loss in Memphis on Saturday night (L, 115-95), the Wizards hit the road for Tuesday’s contest at steep underdogs against the Bucks at Fiserv Forum – marking the sixth time Washington has been an underdog across their last seven away games.

I’ll lay the points with Milwaukee here, as the Wizards enter Tuesday’s contest riding a frustrating five-game losing streak, and now Washington doesn’t have Beal available to keep them afloat offensively – setting the stage for an incredibly unfavorable road matchup against a Bucks squad that’s scored 120+ PTS in three of their last six contests.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS VS. MILWAUKEE BUCKS BETTING TRENDS

  • The Wizards are 0-5 ATS in their last five games.
  • The Bucks are 8-1 SU in their last nine matchups against Washington.
  • The Wizards are 4-2 ATS in their last six matchups against Milwaukee.
  • The total has gone OVER in eight of the last nine matchups between Milwaukee and Washington.
