MILWAUKEE BUCKS VS. LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS PREDICTIONS

After last year’s impressive NBA title run, Milwaukee stumbled out to a surprisingly slow start to this season, as the Bucks kicked things off with a lackluster 6-8 SU and ATS skid – with four of those SU losses coming in matchups they were favored in.

The Bucks have quietly dominated since their opening stretch though, considering Milwaukee enters Sunday riding an impressive 26-13 SU run, with 20 of those victories coming by eight points or more – despite sitting just 17-22 ATS across that timeframe.

On the other hand, the Clippers posted remarkably solid start in the absence of All-Pro SF Kawhi Leonard, as L. A. kicked things off with a sturdy 16-15 SU run – with ten of those victories coming by double-digits.

The Clippers have struggled at both ends since the latest injury to Paul George though, considering L. A. enters Sunday riding a rocky 10-12 SU skid – while averaging just 107 PPG offensively and surrendering 110 PPG defensively across that span.

I’ll lay the points with the Bucks here, as despite sitting just 13-8 SU and 10-11 ATS in their last 21 games, Milwaukee still averaged 114.3 PPG offensively across that timeframe – likely presenting a steep uphill battle for a Clippers squad that’s scored 106 PTS or less in 11 of their last 22 matchups (107 PPG).

MILWAUKEE BUCKS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 32-21
  • ATS: 23-30
  • O/U: 23-30

After finishing with the best record in the East in two of the last three regular seasons, Milwaukee’s rough start was incredibly surprising, as the Bucks’ compiled a record of 162-65 SU across the previous three seasons – and then opened this season just 6-8 SU.

Milwaukee has played excellent basketball, when healthy, since mid-November though, considering the Bucks enter Sunday sitting at 25-13 SU across their latest 38-game stretch – with nearly half of those losses coming in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (5).

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 27-27
  • ATS: 26-28
  • O/U: 25-28-1

Most bettors lost faith in the Clippers following Kawhi’s devastating injury last postseason – but it turns out, the L. A. is still a decent team without him, considering they efficiently handled business against Utah for the remainder of their second-round series, and then went toe-to-toe with Phoenix for the length of a competitive six-game conference final set.

The same cannot be said once George is also removed from the equation though, considering the Clippers are just 10-12 SU since PG’s latest injury, having scored 106 PTS or less in 11 of those matchups (107.1 PPG) – and surrendered 110+ PTS in 13 of them (109.9 PPG).

The Clippers are 7-3 ATS in their last ten games. (AP)

MILWAUKEE BUCKS VS. LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Bucks and Clippers split a two-game regular-season set last year 1-1 SU, with the first matchup staying under the total and resulting in a victory for Milwaukee – and the second soaring over the total and resulting in a win for L. A.

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • MIL: Giannis Antetokounmpo - PF (28.9 PPG, 11.3 REB, 6 AST)
  • MIL: Khris Middleton - SF (19.6 PPG, 5.6 REB, 5.2 AST)
  • LAC: Reggie Jackson - PG (16.7 PPG, 3.4 REB, 4.1 AST)
  • LAC: Marcus Morris - PF (15.8 PPG, 5.1 REB, 2.2 AST)

MILWAUKEE BUCKS VS. LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS BETTING CONCLUSION

After a thrilling victory over the Lakers on Thursday night (W 111-110), the Clippers enter Sunday’s contest as heavy home underdogs against the Bucks at Staples Center – marking the tenth straight game Milwaukee has been favored in.

I’ll lay the points with Milwaukee here, as the Clippers are 8-9 SU and 9-8 ATS across their last 17 games, while averaging just 107.7 PPG offensively during that span – setting the stage for a tough home matchup against a Bucks squad that’s averaging 114.4 PPG across their last 19 contests.

  • The Bucks are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight matchups against the Clippers.
