After last year’s impressive NBA title run, Milwaukee posted a surprisingly slow start to this season, as the Bucks kicked things off with a lackluster 6-8 SU and ATS skid – with four of those SU losses coming in matchups they were favored in.

The Bucks have quietly dominated since their opening skid though, considering Milwaukee enters Sunday riding a sturdy 33-17 SU run, with 24 of those victories coming by eight points or more – despite sitting just 22-28 ATS across that same window.

On the other hand, Phoenix barreled out to an excellent start to the season, as the Suns kicked things off with a sturdy 27-8 SU and 18-17 ATS run – with 18 of those victories coming by 10+ PTS.

Despite the absence of Chris Paul, Phoenix rode that momentum all the way through February too, considering the Suns boast records of 24-4 SU and 16-12 ATS across their last 28 games – while scoring 116.3 OPPG and allowing just 106.8 DPPG during that timeframe.

I’ll back Milwaukee here, as the Suns are 4-2 SU and 2-4 ATS since CP3’s latest injury, with their only SU victories across that window coming against opponents with losing records (HOU, OKC, POR, NYK) – setting the stage for a tough road matchup against a Bucks squad that’s scored 120+ PTS in five of their last six games (123.2 OPPG).
