Kevin Huerter (SAC) Over 3.5 Assists

Kevin Huerter was mostly a side character in the Trae Young Show back in Atlanta, however, it looks like his role is going to be much bigger for the Kings, as Huerter averaged 11.4 PPG and 3.2 AST across four seasons for the Hawks, and now just seven games into his tenure with Sacramento, his numbers have seen immediate upticks to 18.9 PPG and 3.9 AST.

I’ll back him to keep it going in the passing department here, as Huerter has now tallied 4+ assists in four of his last six contests (4.2 AST), which includes three performances of 5+ assists. And while it’s a sizable gap from his career numbers in Atlanta, I think we’ll see this trend continue while playing for a Kings squad that puts the ball in his hands much more.

Josh Giddey (OKC) Over 12.5 Points (-115)

Josh Giddey has dealt with an ankle injury through the opening weeks of the season, keeping him sidelined for three of Oklahoma City’s eight contests thus far. However, he played well in the matchups that he fully participated in, as Giddey averaged 16.3 PPG on 15 FGA across the three games he tallied 30+ minutes, opposed to averaging 8.5 PPG on 11.5 FGA in a pair of contests he played 25 minutes or less.

I’ll back him to have another solid night in the scoring department here, as Giddey averaged 12.5 PPG on 12.4 FGA in his rookie campaign last season, and now he’s averaged 13.2 PPG on 13.6 FGA across his first five outings of this season. So, that’s why his number still hangs out around OU 12.5. However, I think the line should be higher given his limited participation in two of the five contests that he participated in.

Jamal Murray (DEN) Over 3.5 Rebounds (+115)

After missing nearly a year-and-a-half with a knee injury, Jamal Murray has experienced his fair share of ups-and-downs in his return to action for Denver, as Murray averaged 15.3 PPG on 41% FG to go along with 3.1 REB in his first seven outings since April, 2021.

Regardless, Denver is finally beginning to ease up on Murray’s minute restrictions, and his hustle stats have seen decent upticks as a result. So. I’ll back him to have a solid night on the glass here, as Murray has now gathered 4+ rebounds in four of the Nuggets’ last six contests, despite playing 27 minutes or less in four of those affairs. And now that they’re gradually lifting his minutes cap, he should have plenty of opportunities to secure four rebounds against a Spurs squad that’s currently playing at the second-fastest pace in the league (104 PACE).
