Tobias Harris (PHI) Over 20.5 Points

The Sixers currently find themselves in a tough spot with Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey all sidelined with injuries. However, the absence of Philly’s top three scoring threats has quickly elevated Tobias Harris to a very prominent role within the offense, highlighted by Harris scoring 19+ points on 15+ field goal attempts in five of his last seven games (18.3 PPG, 16.3 FGA), which is a pretty big uptick compared to the 15.6 PPG on 13.1 FGA he’s averaged so far this season.

Embiid, Harden, and Maxey combine for roughly 54 field goal attempts per game for this Sixers squad. So, their recent absence has left plenty of extra shots to go around for the clear cut fourth scoring option, Harris, who currently averages 3+ shots per game more than the next guys up in the pecking order, De’Anthony Melton and Georges Niang.

So, I’ll back Harris to have another solid night in Friday’s matchup against a Magic squad that currently ranks 25th in the league in defensive rating (114.2 DRtg).

Ben Simmons (BKN) Over 11.5 Points

The Nets looked like they were almost ready to give up on the Ben Simmons experiment heading into the month of November, as Brooklyn posted losses in six-of-eight games to open the season, and Simmons averaged just 6.2 PPG on 5.7 FGA across that window.

However, Simmons’ activity at the offensive end has risen quickly over the last week or so, as the former-Sixer enters Friday following scoring outputs of 11+ PTS on 6+ FGA in five straight games, with three of those performances ringing in at 14+ PTS.

Simmons claims to finally be approaching full strength following his issues from previous seasons, and against my better judgement, I’m starting to buy into it after seeing him average 14.6 PPG on 79% FG across his latest five-game stretch

So, I’ll back that trend to continue in Friday’s matchup against a Pacers squad that’s currently playing at the eighth-fastest pace in the league (101.2 PACE).

Devin Vassell (SAS) Over 20.5 Points

After averaging less than 12.5 PPG in his first two season with the Spurs, Devin Vassell has sprung onto the scene in the scoring department to kick off his third professional campaign, highlighted by Vassell racking up a team-high 20.6 PPG on 48% FG across 14 outings so far this season, which is neck-and-neck with his teammate Keldon Johnson (20.4 PPG), but they are the only two Spurs currently averaging 13.5+ PPG.

San Antonio has stunk recently, highlighted by the Spurs posting losses in 11 of their last 12 games. However, the Spurs’ struggles certainly aren’t due to a lack of production from Vassell, highlighted by Vassell scoring 20+ PTS in seven of his last ten outings, with three of those performances eclipsing 26+ PTS.

So, I’ll back Vassell to keep it going in Friday night’s matchup against a Lakers squad that’s currently playing at the fastest pace in the league (103.3 PACE).
