Miami Heat -3 (-110) @ NOP

The Pelicans will be without Zion Willamson and Bradon Ingram yet again tonight, and this squad certainly hasn’t fared well in the absence of their two stars, considering New Orleans is now 3-6 in their last nine games, with five of those losses coming by a relatively distant margin of 9+ points.

While on the other hand, Miami is also banged up heading into Wednesday’s matchup, as Kyle Lowry and Ducan Robinson both remain sidelined due to their respective injuries. But unlike New Orleans, the Heat have managed to keep the core of their lineup in-tact with Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro still healthy enough to pave the way, highlighted by Miami’s solid 8-4 record in their last 12 games, despite playing half of those contests on the road.

Prior to their latest outing in Atlanta, the Heat had posted an impressive record of 7-2 in their last nine road games, and it’s not like they’ve been beating pushovers either, considering Miami has been an underdog in three of their last five road games.

So, I’ll back Miami to handle business on the road against a Pelicans squad that’s ranked 23rd in the league in offensive rating and 17th in defensive rating across their latest nine-game stretch, which is an enormous step down from ranking Top 10 in both categories on the year.

Hornets-Rockets Over 236.5 (-110)

This is a matchup between two of the worst teams in the league, as Charlotte and Houston both find themselves positioned dead-last in their respective conference standings, with the Hornets owning a record of 11-34 on the season, and the Rockets currently sitting 10-34.

So now, with both teams’ playoff chances pretty much off the table at this point, it appears these squads have officially thrown in the towel at the defensive end, highlighted by the Hornets surrendering 120+ points to their opponent in 10 of their last 14 contests, and the Rockets allowing a lofty average of 128 PPG across their last six.

So, I’ll take the ‘over’ in this relatively meaningless matchup between a pair of league bottom-dwellers that both rank Bottom 5 in the league in points allowed per game.

Myles Turner (IND) Over 17.5 Points

The Pacers’ injury report is a bit crowded heading into tonight, with Tyrese Haliburton and Daniel Theis set to miss another contest due to their respective injuries. And as a whole, it seems like their health issues are slowly starting to catch up with them, highlighted by Indiana’s disappointing record of 2-5 across their last seven games.

However, due to the unfortunate circumstances in Indiana, things have opened up for Myles Turner at the offensive end in a big way as of late, considering he’s now scored 17+ points in five of his last six outings, with three of those performances ringing in north of 25 points.

So, I’ll back Turner to have another solid night in the scoring department against a Thunder squad that currently ranks Top 5 in the league in both pace and field goals attempted per game.
